Every forecast for my area is different.
One site says "chance of snow" for the next 3 days.
One says 2-3 tonight, 1-3 tomorrow, 3-5 tomorrow nite into thursday
One says 1-3 over Wed and Thurs.
Oh, and the weather channel says 8-12.

So I guess we are in for somewhere between 1" and 12" of new white stuff, heavy and wet.

Nothing has changed as of yet up here. 4 - 8" mainly thru the day tomorrow. South of here is supposed to get a little more, which means you, roscoe! Still talking a foot in Mpls. I'll get everything ready today just in case. Need to spray the plow down with cooking spray too. She's gonna be sticky... With the exception of Sat, chance of snow thru next Tue. We'll probably skip spring this year and go straight into summer, someday.....

Now I really know why I moved from Mass to NC. You Northerners can keep your freezing cold and snow in April! We are enjoying 80+ degrees here.

Spring rain here today, snowing about 1000 foot above us, sleders should be loving the spring conditions as long as they stay away from the avalanche areas.

Now I really know why I moved from Mass to NC. You Northerners can keep your freezing cold and snow in April! We are enjoying 80+ degrees here.

Wasn't too bad here yesterday. Hit the low 70's. Little bit cooler today, but the sun's out right now, so not too bad. IMHO once April 1 comes and goes, we're pretty much in the clear in the North East.

I feel sorry for the folks in the upper mid west though... :cold::smow:

Well, the winter storm watch went to a warning until 5am Friday. Plow is at the ready........ Had a customer call and wanted to bring his pontoon up Friday. Convinced him to leave it home for a couple more weeks....

The wind from this storm is playing havoc with the ice on Lake Winnebago.

Did you have to send it this way!! We have a winter storm watch for tomorrow, but it looks like we're going to get more freezing rain than snow. We just get most of the ice off of the lake and it comes back on the roads!
Also had a guy want to bring me two outboards and a boat for a rear shift cable yesterday. Put him off for a couple of weeks.

I like to send it all to ya. No offense. One of the local channels put us in the bullseye. Now it could be 12+. Nothing would surprise me. maybe we'll get 20". Should provide good insulation for the lakes. Opener is 3 weeks from Sat. Better keep my tip ups handy.....

Whatever it takes, my man..... i cruised to the lake today. There were a couple guys out there. The shore looked a little dicey, but I bet if you got away from the shore the ice would easily support a truck. Just got word from the folks in N Mn, hearing some lakes have 37"! Their opener is in 4 weeks. They don't have any bare ground in their yard yet......

Been lucky the past 3 weekends so far with temps hitting the low 70's even though freezing temps hitting during the week.........taken the boat out 5 times thus far since de-winterizing her in mid march. Still praying for spring to stick around for more than a couple days though. Bring on summer!!!!!!!!

Thats an annual occurrence here.


Four groups of ice fishermen had to be rescued from the ice on Green Bay yesterday after strong southeasterly winds shifted the ice and stranded them at various points off the peninsula?s west shore.

At least two of the anglers didn?t realize they needed to be rescued.

?We noticed the helicopter flying around for about two hours, and then we saw the airboat coming out to get us,? said Pat from Milwaukee after the Guard dropped him off at Sand Bay Beach Resort. He declined to give his last name because ?I don?t want to win a dumba-- award.?


The winds of at least 20 mph and gusting to nearly 40 mph had shifted the ice, which was still thick enough to support all-terrain vehicles and even pickup trucks, opening gaps of open water 20 to 50 feet wide.

Well, we got 2 inches Wed at 2 am during the pre-storm, then nothing for the last 32 hours.
THe 30 mph winds kept pushing the storm further north, and kept it west of me. Still may get a few tomorrow.

What a screwed up forecast. They really messed up on this one.
