they are called limber holes and need to be at the aft end of each compartment formed by your stringers and bulkheads. all the way to where your bilge pump is located and/or your drain plug in the transom.

Ok I think I'm too late but you were asking on the second page how to shape your stringers. I have seen where the old stringers are basicly dust from rot. If this was the case you could have taken the top fiberglass off then cut the bottom of the side fiberglassoff clos to the deck staying the same distance from the hull and used the old fiberglass as the pattern for the bottom of your new stringers. Then all you need is the amount you left on the hull and add that to the topp and you have the exact stinger. Like George said, the drain holes should be at the aft of each section. I have seen some of the guys here take PVC, cut it in half long ways and tape it to the hull before you foam in everything. This sounds like a great idea you would just have to split 90's and 45's and elbow's and glue them to your PVC to ensure there is no foam leakage into the pvc. I am going to follow along and see all the input by the guys that have more information than I do. I will be really digging into my 83 Dyna Trak in a few weeks to have her ready to glass as soon as it warms back up.

Your drain holes (limber holes) need to stay open. The expandable foan will fill any hole there is. You want drainage from your deck area to your bilge. You don't want the water to set between your foam and your deck or get trapped anywhere. This will cause the new foam you just paid for and installed soak up the water which in turn will rot your deck and stringers back out. You will need drainage somehow. There are alot of ways of doing this you can find here but the cut pvc is the best I've found to me. Sorry I was late for the stringers. I just got back on here and it's been awhile since the last time I was here. I just seen your thread and read it when I sent the reply.
