Have an old kicker that is older then dirt...It's a vintage pre-1940 MW Sea King... #101923

Anyways, I am only getting spark in one plug. I have checked both plugs on the good wire and they spark, I have also checked the continuity of the plug wires from the coil and they are good. I cleaned the points. So now I am at a loss since this usually solves my problems in the past.

I will note that there is only one big coil in there and the plug wires come out from the center of it and on the edges of the head are two metal fins that come off the coil and the flywheel spins around. Now they were coated in a paint/sealent it lookes like and I had to hit one of them with the wire wheel since there was so much rust on it and now it is bare metal. It just so happens that this is the side that the plug wire is coming from that isn't getting a spark, any corelation? (I hope this made sense :/ )

OH and if you could tell me what year this thing is that would be great, seems no one can figure it out...

We need the model number, but it is not quite as old as you think. Not pre 1940, thats for sure. I have a few of the Montgomery Ward Sea Kings, great little runners when they are tuned. A pic would help as well.

Regarding your no spark scenario, the trouble may trace back to the coil, but lets get a model number first so we can pinpoint an ignition system.

That is not the model number.

The Montgomery Ward model numbers were GG numbers, such as:

1948/49 1/5hp 84GG9003A
1945 3hp 54GG9010
1947 5hp 74GG9011A

as you can see, the first two numbers are the year of manufacture in reverse order.

Here's a pic of what I'm working with. I can also take a pic of the coil assembly if need be...
