Re: Overweight 8-Year-Old May Be Taken Into Protective Custody
I think we need a new Federal Bureaucracy.... The Department of Public Health.
They could manage every aspect of our lives, from what, and how much we eat to when, what kind, and how long we exercise everyday... with enforcement powers!!!!
They could set minimum standards for body mass index, blood pressure, pulse rate, and cholesterol levels by age group. They could monitor everyones calorie intake by food group and make sure everyone eats all of their vegetables.
We need minimum mandatary jail sentences for offenders where they will be force fed the correct, as defined by The DPH, dietary regimen and attend support groups where individual therapies can be developed to meet DPH criteria.
This would save the US government 560 million dollars per year in unnecessary heath related cost due to unhealthy eating habits of the average American Citizen.
Think of how much longer, and healthier, the average Citizen would live!!!
We formally submit a first year budget request of 2 billion dollars to setup this new program, and an additional request of 423 million dollars for a study on how this department can be expanded to include all aspects of everyday life that may shorten the life span of the American citizen.
Remember, its only for Your benifit.
