I think an ethics committee should look into this. She clearly has a conflict of interest. And so does Kerry. They could have done a number of things, but yet they chose not to. Wonder why? Oh yea, just like the Rose Law firm billing records were under the bed in the White House, (Kool-aid anyone) how could someone not know they had a 17million dollar conflict of interest? Heck, Kerry might even be deeper than that. Information is not that easy to come by. Funny Cheney made his financial records, public and he still takes unjustified hits for something in the public record. I wish real american heros and the mother of congress would do likewise.

Anyone want to talk about Halliburton anymore? That dog never did hunt but I would love to know why these lies and inuendo get a pass in the press.

Frankly, I don't see why any place that is a not bonafide state of the union should enjoy the benefit of minimum wage....

With regard to Haliburton, I think there business practices should be closely monitored, if for no other reason than that they have federal contracts funded by taxpayer's dollars....JK
PS, as far as conflict of interest, I agree....
Neither should vote on this measure, but I don't see how it can be avoided because of the Number of Dems. vs Reps....

Haut, you are right on the mark. Simply abstain from the vote. And the number of Rep vs Dems is irrelevant. It is a conflict of interest, politics is an excuse. I guess these peoples values are only invoked when the outcome isn't in question. So do they have any values at all?

I don't care if they investigate Halliburton, but trying to link VP Cheney is just political hyjinx. It is sad that a man who actually donates his shares of a company to a charity, gets smeared for years because of his largesse.

I agree the Somoans will be screwed, but so will the rest of the country. Just the front end of many socialistic policies we can look forward to.

A man (or woman) who would prostitute their values when things are hard or difficult don't have values at all. Doing the right thing when it is hard or you will pay a price is a measure of one's charactor. Not much of a story when it comes to these two.

BTW can you imagine the press coverage if Cheney was a deciding vote on a contract awarded to Halliburton, the coverage the MSM would give it. Mentally bookmark this story for our next debate about the left wing liberal bias in the press. :%

Doesn't surprise me in the least. If it were not the case lil' Nancy wouldn't have done a 180 on it in a heartbeat. It isn't a side of the isle issue, I think this is far more common than any of us would be comfortable knowing.
