What kind of fishing rig and bait did you have to catch that striper with? If it was shad, did you buy them or use a castnet?
Did you get tipped off by jumping baitfish or seagulls and then go hunt him down?
I am just starting out with striper fishing, have snagged a few down in Lake Lanier in Georgia but am trying to figure out a new lake here in NC.
What is my best bet as far as as a bait setup?

Catcatcher, where do you live and how do I get there?
Holy crap those are nice cats!!!
Where I am in Indiana it is hard to get anything much over 20, I'll bet it is because I live to close to Meeechigan!
Going out tonight after I see my daughter and her boy off to the prom, really jazzed now.
The suspense is kill'n me, did you?
I dropped him right back into the water after the picture. I've got a bit of a soft spot when it comes to largemouth, so I'll release unless they are injured or if I can manage to get one in excess of 10 lbs.
I've only tried fishing for striper once, but did a pretty bad job coming back with nothing after an afternoon. Days like those really make getting a side-scan sonar tempting so I can pinpoint the bait fish schools better.
Here's one I got when my livewell didn't work, so I dunked it into a bucket, rushed back to the marina, and had a nice lady who was crappie fishing snap a shot of. The fish was pretty calm until I cranked the outboard, then freaked out and soaked me:

Promptly released at the boat dock after that picture, to the jeers of the shoreline fishers.
