I had a hole in my fuel line that goes from the pan under the carb, to the fuel filter on the side of the motor.
The little metal nipple busted off that is attached to the carb. bowl, and the plastic piece that attaches to
the filter on the side of the motor broke off too. What is it going to cost to have a pro fix it for me? I am trying
to get an estimate to see weather or not it is going to bo worth fixing. Thanks. If you need pics lemme know.
BTW the motor is late 70ish or so.

Hopefully the pros chime in soon. But that sounds like an easy DIY fix.

The plastic nipple on the bottom of this thing labeled "Filter" broke off.

Here it is zoomed out. The nipple is on the bottome underneath out of view.

This is the bottom of the Carb. This bowl is where the niplpe broke off. It was made of metal.

The line goes where this red line shows.

that is not the carb, that is the fuel pump. now if you will tell us what 35 hp it is we can tell you the correct replacement pump. atleast give us the model # off the transome bracket.

It is a model 35902A 1979 35 horse 2 stroke evinrude. Thats all I know. I came into this boat, and don't know much about it. I am just trying to get it on the lake, and keep running into little problems. Now that I know thats the fuel pump I can replace it. I found a pump online, but I guess the main part is the carb. Am I going to need to replace the whole thing, or is there a replacement for the nipple I broke off? I found a scematic of the carb. but I can't find the little nipple thingy (I know really technical here) .

I really appreciate all the help. I just want to get this thing on the water, and it's getting to be a real headache.

Too bad the diagram does not show the fuel inlet under the float bowl.
There must be a part number for it...
Its a plastic 90* angle fitting...?

This looks like the same or similar carb.Its a straight brass inlet. Good for parts and includes the fuel pump..

This is the part that snapped off from under the float bowl. Other than that you can't see anything else unless you take off the carb.

That sucks......The one on Ebay was not it...
I would pull the carb and see if its pressed in or what...
May be able to fab up some kind of fitting..

I thought it might until i looked over the part numbers...That carb is no longer available unless you find a used one..

Part number 0388278 is available,it is the whole float chamber assembly and should have the fuel inlet fitting..41 bucks dealer price..

Just checked.The carbs i have are similar but does not have the bracket for the choke solenoid built into the bowl housing....bummer.
