Hey guys over the winter months we are beginning a project speed boat using our 16' bow rider. The boat is a 1987 Edson bow rider. We have aquired a 1989 150 hp evinrude outboard off of a bass boat for it and are creating all the proper reinforcements for the transom etc by welding up some supports etc. My question to you guys is what is the proper jackplate size needed for our project? We are unsure as to the proper size we figured a 5" but was wondering what you guys may suggest. I have attached a picture of what the boat looks like to give you an idea. Any help is needed
