Re: Psst, wanna buy a boat?
I have been thinking to myself that as many scams as I see on craigslist similar to that one, there has to be some takers. Seems that they're so obvious noone would fall for 'em. Most of the time the kicker is that they don't list a phone number and won't accept cash. Pretty obvious there's a sardine aroma when someone doesn't want cash and doesn't want you to come get the boat or truck or whatever.
What a shame those thieves get away with it and do it so flagrantly.

No one would waste their time running a scam, it there were no takers. There are plenty of "victims" out there.
This guy was scammed, because he had at least one trait of the scammed - Greed, Gullibility, Ignorance.
Some people actually feel they are getting scammed, but go ahead with the deal anyway, hoping that their feelings were wrong and that they will get "something for nothing" or the "deal of the century"
The only scammees I feel sorry for are old people, who lived their lives trusting people, but are also now a little soft in the head. They are the favorite target of scammers, who will keep returning to clean out their life's savings.
