Link, my hats off to anybody that is not scairt to try something new whether or not the project is successful. Looks like your buddy did well. Even now I toss out boards everyday that I misscut. $180 in lumber should buy you enough to build a couple dozen of those, but them afore mentioned stores know how to stick it to you. Next time have your buddy go buy some redwood or cedar fence boards for his planter projects. He can get alot more practice, and if it don't turn out well toss it and try again...Chief, oh yea, don't be sayn nuthin about guys in their 60's.
