LMAO

came across this thread by accident.
Making me laugh like hell.

My 3rd child (2nd son) will be 12 on September 29 2008, I had my snip done Early Nov 1995............................. do the math............. ah ya he was a surprise. Best one I have in my life, but a surprise.

Gentlemen, all I can say is listen to the Dr as far as RULES etc.......
BTW for those that want to really follow the rules, medical books say the swimmers can live for 1yr!!!!!!

Having had it done about 21 years ago, I can speak from experience and give you the same exact recommendation as was told to me....word for word.........

"Don't let people scare ya, it's not nearly as bad as people will tell ya..........but it's a helluva lot worse than you ever thought about." .....:D

I actually love the fact that im snipped. all the birth control options give the wife an excuse to be cranky, an i do have to worry about (checkin out early)
The only problem is I love kids and think a lot about not haveing a choice anymore. I mean there is reversal procedure's but I'm not putting him through anymore.

Re: Question for those who've had "The snip"

WELL ITS DONE....................................

I got some Halcion from the doc to take an hour before the procedure. Them boys work great. They help you relax. The way he described them is its the same as a large enchilada dinner, 3 margaritas, and its Friday night. For me it was more like a 12 pack and the sun was starting to rise so I know I needed to be in bed. I was wide awake the entire time. For my right side I didn't even feel the needle or anything else he done. On the left the neddle burn't like a devil for about 3 seconds and no further pain or discomfort. The hardest part of this has been the gauze patches under a jock strap under the tighty whiteys. Physically I'm great. Mentalilly I'm a wreck. I knew I was going to feel this way and did it anyhow. Stupidish thing I've ever done in my life. If you are secure in your mind then by all means go through with it because the pain is nothing. I feel like I should change my name to Kenisha, just another woman on the forums...............

See it wasn't that bad! Fill a few rubber gloves with water and freeze them.... they make novel ice packs.

Re: Question for those who've had "The snip"

Its really bugging me out about pain. I haven't taken anything for pain, and I have no pain at all. Sure if I reach down to adjust I remember but otherwise its pain free. I did the on/off with the ice for a couple of hours but chunked it cuz it did nothing. Is tomorrow gonna be a different story?

Re: Question for those who've had "The snip"

I did mine just about 4 years ago. I don't remember much pain in the nether regions unless one of my kids wanted to hop up on daddy's lap. I stayed down for the first day and then was more active second and then after. If I remember, day two, you could tell something had been done but I took that as not staying horizontal for three days as the doc suggested.

I think there was more mental pain in the black and blue sight than anything else. After that, can't tell any difference. The line I use is the weapon is now just a toy. :D After 4 kids, I'd had enough and wanted to take care of the problem. :D

Re: Question for those who've had "The snip"

Decided yesterday that I wouldn't be able to move if I watched anymore TV so I did what all good rednecks would do- Went to Walmart. That was a mistake as after about an hour I was sore sore down there. More TV and all is well this morning. Most of the swelling is gone but I still have the nice colors to look at :(

Okay KB...... now that you have had the "snip" can you vote on your own Poll?

Are you going to become the one?

So far it's 32-0 :)

Women should have it done ...calms them down and when your ready theres no stop light. But I understand being whipped not on a 50-50 level.

Re: Question for those who've had "The snip"

KB,
I had it done in 1974, and the memories are as vivid now as they were then. I remember the novacaine injections burning, the "slight tug" when the doc pulled out the Vas, the heat from the cauterizing tool (can you say big soldering iron?), and especially the pain afterward as my "boys" swelled uo to the size of grapefruit for four days. I sat spread-eagled with an icepack between my legs for so long that my wife renamed it the "north pole". I guess the bottom line is that, yeah, there were many benefits from having it done, but I'd never go through it again.
