Re: Ready to buy an inflatable
Azzurro boats are Upscale Saturn boats
They have a few more features most notably a thicker bottom 1.5mm vs .9 mm
Thus the difference in weight.
If the boat is to be used in saltwater the Azzurro is a better boat
With that being said however.
If I was to buy a boat from them it would be the Saturn SD330W
The extra width comes in handy as a fishing platform
Btw
If you plan on leaving your boat inflated and outside without a cover then you will need a Hypalon boat as opposed to a PVC boat
PVC is cheaper but Hypalon last longer and is much more resistant to UV rays from the sun.
PVC can be treated with a UV protectant , but you must constantly apply it and you must keep the boat covered.
That is not to say that you can't maintain a PVC boat for 10 years or longer.
It will just require a lot more work on your part.
If you keep the boat deflated in a bag when not in use or out of direct sunlight then PVC will have a very long life
Most people with a PVC boat got it as a first boat or as an upgrade from a raft type boat.
By your second boat you usually go Hypalon
I just bought my 9.8 Tohatsu yesterday. NO BOAT! We should hook up but I am not wanting go clear to Long Island so ya can head out to Colorado. :joyous: Congrats on the boat.
On edit: I see boats to go sell your Azzurro as well as their Saturns. Seems they are about the same except the Azzurro is a couple of hundred more. Any reason why you would chose the Azzrro over the Saturn? I do see they have a 5 year warranty and 10 lbs heavier. I even saw where Boats to go got mixed up in their add and mentioned it was an "AM365 Saturn" Can you give me your reasons for the Azzuro over the Saturn? I may just order one myself.
