I'm confused
The plate is supposed to be on the inside of the transome

on my pictures 2 & 3 , you can see the manufacturer plate inside and the hull # outside, same side.
the Hull # is not a pb , it will be still intact ( no hole , only covered ) , it's the manufacturer plate that will be drillled !

The inside plate is just like the Vin number plate in a car.
It has all the info on it that is required by the coast guard.
It is also the plate that is checked against your title

Just take a close up HQ picture of transom's plate to show to water authorities if you ever be stopped and in case there's a plate complain, drill 4 holes per wheel plate. Plate should have 4 tiny screws screwed onto transom, check if possible to remove, if possible secure plate on middle transom, at bottom of engine plate.

Do you have a transversal wooden strip under lower front air deck, just passing keel hole backwards ? Assuro Mare definitely has extremely extended rear tubes, imagine all the available deck space you would achieve if transom is placed way back as found on standard sibs, at the moment could install a bar with bar tender included at back transom.. Congrtas, nice European model sib, enjoy...

When I saw the pic I thought the same thing.... The transom motor plate should be on the inside... unless you have 2... One inside... One out. Is this the case?

Looks great! I have those same wheels and lost one of the pins yesterday while letting the wheels down just before docking. I need to tie them together. Off to find a new pin. Also, you may want to knock the sharp edges off the aluminum brackets for the wheels. I get a little cut every time i monkey with the wheels

Remove both brackets and with a file, file and round all sharp edges, if with time include anchor point and edges and forget all about puctures and cuts..

Hi,
I think they use rivets byt will check,
And yes i have a wood board under the floor attached to it .
I never read anything about that on the air floor on the site.

Re: Ready to buy an inflatable

Hey PGNYC,

I not only tied the pins together, I added a float to each "pair". If I drop one or both, the float keeps em up where I can see and reach them. Weimed and I had that happen last year and it sucked tremendously... not only do I have the float but I keep a spare pin too!!! Agree with sea rider. I sanded the edges smooth not only for my safety but for the safety of the folded boat!

Don't laugh but
I actually take my brackets and wheels off when I get through.
I also have wing nuts to hold the brackets down

Re: Ready to buy an inflatable

i'm close , i'm close , i'm close .

This week-end i did :

- put the reg # on the boat
- received the engine stand, without instruction but fount them online, and mount it.
- put oil in the engine

- went to West marine , bought
-- 3 life jacket
-- a throwable ( not mandatory , but will use it as cushion !! )
-- an extinguisher
-- lines

- mount the wheels on the transom

- buy a 20 gallons trash can , fit perfectly on the stand !

AND run the outboard . ( and again, did no read anything in the manual about water coming out the bottom of the engine , i counted 3 places )

this Monday would have been perfect to go on the water but too windy (15 - 20 mph ).

Nice... what outboard did you get. I think I saw Tohatsu but can't remember the size (hp) and number of strokes ;)

Re: Ready to buy an inflatable

The water coming out of the engine is how the engine is cooled

If you run the engine in salt water
You will need to flush it after you use it to keep the salt deposits from blocking the very holes you saw the water coming out of

Re: Ready to buy an inflatable

thank you Ronaldj , but what i wanted to say , in the manual they talk about the one on top that you see on all outboard on a boat when then run.
i was talking about like 3 or more flux of water at more or less the mid level of engine.

Re: Ready to buy an inflatable

I have a saturn 430 , it is always on a trailor and it is heavy, rated for a 40 hp, but if I had to buy again I would buy a 25 hp ,my 40 honda is way to heavey and I doubt I have ever had it opened to more then half throttle.

This is good to know. I am looking at the kaboats mainly now... it says they are rated for a 10hp motor. The whole boat weighs about 65lbs and I think the 2 stroke I got in the garage is nearly that itself  I'm gonna shoot an email over to the fellas over there at Saturn and see what the say about it. I would go smaller on the engine, but Im worried that once I get sick of the hole I'm in itll take me forever to get home for dinner

A 65 lb boat will do just fine with a 5 hp motor.
In fact your 2 stroke motor will do the job. Spend the money on something else
