I know plenty of boats that fly on the water and they don't need to advertise it.

Some people are natural attention *****s, some aren't

As for bikes, sometimes there is fact to the "loud pipes save lives" statement, because most people have their heads up their rear ends while driving.

Back in my Wellcraft days ('94-'00), we used to install all the way up to 1075s as options, Merlins or whatever if you wanted to pay. But Volvo teamed with Innovation to build a true 600 PSHP that would combat the 600SC. MAN, did she have a sweet exhaust note...not quieter, just a different pitch...and she was a beautiful motor all painted in red...

Different strokes for different folks. And a pair of 1200s rattling the docks in the a.m. doesn't bother me one bit!

We purchased our boat with 3 inch thru the hull exhaust, and I'm looking for an inexpensive way to muffle it a bit.

Been looking at slip-ons at the local auto store, anything to just calm it down a bit. If I can't find a cheap way to quiet it a bit, then I'll probably reroute the exhaust back through the original underwater outlet.

After 20 years in the Army with tanks and personnel carriers, I don't need to hear that unmuffled boat motor just to know it's running- I'm already about half deaf.

Or, as my old Triumph-riding friend in high school used to say to Harley riders:"If it don't go and you ain't proud, pull the muffler and make it LOUD!"

Statistics show that 92% of all the Harley-Davidson motorcycles ever produced are still on the road today.

The other 8% made it back home.

I am not sure of diameter, but these might work. Cheap to try. Slip in muffler

Man, I suck more every day . . . I think I'm gonna buy a sailboat with a solar battery charger, and some headphones for a battery powered iPod. I'm gonna tow it with a Prius, but I will only use electric mode. I promise. I'm going to lower my sail whenever I can so that I don't obstruct any views and if I go any faster than wakeless, well I just won't do that. Of course I won't get a kicker, and if there is no wind I'll use oars. Will this pizz anyone off?

Can you please not splash your oars so loud?

this is true, I've seen so many idiot fishingmen sit in the middle of the channel...... I don't deviate very far for these people and if I run over their lines oh well.
