Hey guys
Ok so my steering is stuck, i've read up and followed old threads and pretty much know what to do except i've hit a hurdle.

With reference to the linked image, i have removed the clevis pin , i can then move outdrive quite easily so all good there. I've tried undoing the attaching nut but it all turns at the same time, the steel rod and the black piece of pipe after the nut (in image it has a yellow dot on it).
Should i just get my grips on this section of black pipe to hold it whilst i undo the nut? ofcourse i wouldn't on the steel rod because it would damage it, but it ofcourse also would this black pipe.
any advice would be appreciated
thanks
Leo
