Great thread Nemo! You've done a great job with asking all my questions and taking pictures and gave me a better idea of what to expect when I undertake my project this Winter.

Couple questions:
Regarding build-up
You said you went with PB, then 3" 1.5 oz csm tab, then 6" 1708, then 9" 1708

I am confused by the terminology. Are you saying that you went 3" vertical and 3" horizontal? And by tab it looked like pieces only a few inches wide by a few inches long, like pieces 4" x 6"? Then the 6" of 1708 goes 6" in both directions using 12" wide strips, then 9" in both directions using 18" wide strips, followed by another piece of 1708 that covers the entire assembly from hull over the stringer and down the next side back to the hull? Is this correct or am I way off? Am I adding one too many layers.

My boat is an outboard so I will not have the motor-mount issues (thank goodness).

Thanks Moreheadnc, I did use 3" csm tabbing, then 6"1708 biax on that 9" 1708 biax I used manageable lengths on all, the longest 50"+-'the shortest about a foot where space was limited.
I did not totally enclose the stringers as what was there from the factory was only half way up the stringer and that lasted 22+ years. And mine went up 3/4 of the way. I know some say enclose the whole stringer but IMHO that is a personal choice!as you have to consider weight added etc.
Good luck on your project (It will be fun):D
