He didn't say it would but I didn't ask either. He did say that the service shops do it pretty regularly though.
My trolling motor is a unique situation. It's new, still wrapped in plastic but otherwise no original packaging. I don't have a receipt for it because it was given to me, by the engineering director I worked with.
It was bought direct from Minn Kota when they first came out, and then sat around the shop not getting used.
So I can't take it back, can't really get warranty work done, and it's not the ideal length, but it was also FREE which 'is' ideal.
Once the boat is "done" and I start using it and decide I need or want a transom electric I'd like to get one of those too. I've found situations they would be really nice to have.
EDIT I called D&R Sports in K-zoo and they want $135 just for labor in changing it....So I'm going to order the shaft and give changing the shaft a shot my self.
