That sounds good, you get the whole party and don't have to rush either, I know you will need time to recover. :D

No hurries, no worries, nlain.......I can handle it just fine now. I believe this gathering of new friends will be a fun time. As you know the reputation of boat captains, we do this on almost a daily basis. After spending many winters in the Carib, mainly Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, I think this will be tame in compairson. ;)

Looking foreward to meeting you and the rest of the guys. I feel I know veritas honus already, he is a straight shooter and a real gentelman.

Been watching this thread unfold. We are considering joining you guys, along with a couple other boating friends and boats. It all hinges on what happens with my wife's job. But I am watching, and hopefully we can join for some of the trip.

Just doing some looking, it appears that the closest boat ramp to the marina is on the other side of the inlet at 29? 54' 43.15"N and 81? 18' 31.68"W , per Google Earth, which is not far at all. Ramp is 3 to 4 wide, the views I saw had 3 putting in at the same time with plenty of room, large parking area so that should not be a problem to park and return later for the vehicle if need be. I do not see anything else in the area.

I spoke to the bossman and we are planning our boat trip after I return from St. Augustine. I can carry on as planned.

I'm liking your "bossman" more and more every time you talk about him!!!:D

Have you considered inviting him?

I'm pretty sure that's the one Fireman told me about. He'd also mentioned one or two others (I think...) Gonna keep the boat at the marina for at least the first night. I've had the slip next to Fireman's reserved since I realized I can definitely make it. I'll probably just keep the slip for the whole time we spend (which will be beyond the weekend.) I've scheduled a decent amount of vacation time both prior to, and after the weekend of June 18th. I've got from the 12th to the 23rd off. I took the additional time prior to the get together to work on my house. I want to have all of the hardwood flooring complete.

Gonna be a great time!!!

Hey Fireman... Is it June yet???!!!:D;)

Getting closer every minute of every day!

Only 36 more days till departure!!

We'll be playing "trial run" this Saturday. No going very far, just about 5-6 miles up the river, rafting up with a few other boaters, and grill/swim/drink/hang out/socailize until dusk. This really isn't a trial run as we do this about every other weekend, but it gives me another reason to burn fuel. Slowly turning all of my hard earned cash into noise and exhaust fumes.

Re: St. Augustine in May/June: UPDATED: Now With Dates!

Wife says she wants to go to Atlanta some time this summer, so we may have to drive up. Taking the boat doubles the costs and with gas prices, we are a little strapped. So if worse comes to worse, we will book a dive and walk on over. I am pretty disapointed, but hoping we can still at least make the meet on the 18th.

What's that?... You need the practice drinking??? Thought I heard something else about cash and exhaust fumes, but I must have been mistaken...

No problem...

If you come without the boat, just don't forget to bring your iboats ID Card for proof of membership.

Hope to see you there.:D

Hi mnypitboat, Whatever you do don't take veritas honus serious. No card is available. Be there! :)

I take back my "gentleman" statement. Guess I better take back the "straight shooter" one too!

As sasto has already informed you (and then some:rolleyes:), I was kidding around. If I'd used an emoticon, like the "roll eyes" sarcastic, which I love so much, it simply would have been obvious... A dead givaway... Can't have that now, can we?:p:D

They actually named a couple streets here after me!.... Dead End and One Way. I was told it had something to do with my intelligence and personality.

Invite the bossman?......No way!......I don't want him to see the kind of people I hang out with.

You may just be at least a little bit smarter than you give yourself credit for...:p;)
