11 people on the boat tomorrow. Rafting up with a few others. I think pics/video may be warranted...might just be a St. Augustine primer.

Also...I think I may have just added 2 more friends for the get together.

Sounds fantastic!!! Please post pics and video. If you can post the video directly on iboats as opposed to a link to youtube, that would be really great. I can't access youtube from work.

How many more days now???:D

There's a very good chance of my starting this trip earlier than planned, and ending it later.

Have any of you checked out my wife's blog? The Jekyll Island Review has attracted some really nice attention. My wife has been contacted by several PR groups already. She spoke with two different PR companies on the phone today. One of them will be sending us to St Augustine and St Simons island to start!!! The other will be sending us to St Augustine and four other locations to start!!! It looks like both will be providing accomodations, meals, and activities throughout our stay in St Augustine. The 17th and 18th belong to us, though... That is unconditional.;)

How did that go, Fireman... This just gets better and better!!!:D

VH, it looks more and more like you are living a charmed life. From your beginnings (regarding this trip), you were just hoping to be able to make it. Now your vacation is being extended, possibly a 60 round trip to Jax and back, and now accommodations!! You must have lived right in the past, my friend! Karma, karma, karma....

Those are some very kind words, Fireman. I thank you. I've got a pretty twisted and convoluted past... But I do walk a very rigid line. "Truth and Honor", my Friend.

I've been working some pretty insane hours to make this trip possible. I'm very fortunate to be able to do that. It's been really tough on both myself and my family. I've always found, though, the harder I work, the luckier I get.:)

This is a very much needed and well deserved vacation for my family. I'll tell you all about that when we finally get together. It really has blossomed into something far better than originally expected, or even hoped for. I'm not even referring to the good fortune my wife has brought to the activities; that is a huge bonus, though. I'm referring more to the comradary which has developed here. I can hardly contain myself, waiting for the "Get Together" to get here.;) I find solace in the fact that...

...Yeah, you got it...

:D"This just gets better and better!!!":D

You are fortunate, especially in this economy. I wonder how many people would continue to complain that they have to work hard if they knew there were 1000 others out there that would do more work for less money...

The days on the calendar are closer than they appear....

V H that is great, no better way than having most everything paid for to take a vacation. I am sure looking forward to this trip myself. We have been on several trips like this and have always enjoyed ourselves but this one may just be the best yet.

Now I got to get off my butt and go outside and do some work around the house, got too many projects running, so going to try and finish one up today before the rain starts.

Veritas honus......I've been meaning to complement your Lady on the beautiful work she does. Her and Kimi will get along very well. Kimi also appreciates her work and is interested. On second thought.....if Kimi can get along with me she can handle anyone, she is a social butterfly.

Are you going to be at JI before the meet. If so, we may spend a couple days at a condo we have access to at ST. Simmons Island. I grew up vacationing at JI. Have friends and Kimi has family there.

As much as you like to consider yourself still a kid, you are truely a realist, Fireman. You're the best of both worlds!!! I'm Looking forward to meeting you more than you know...

How much closer???;)

I'm really glad you feel that way!!! (About the Get Together) The paid for vacation is such a meaningful bonus.:D

I know all too well about where you're coming from regarding work around the house. I'll give everyone an ear (and soul) full when we get together..;)

It's getting closer and closer every time we "speak"!!!:D:D:D

I don't. iboats is the only social networking I've ever participated in...

I've read this to Julie... she's flattered. That's very nice of you to say!!! I'm quite sure all of us are going to much more than just get along, so to speak...;)

Don't know when we'll be getting back to JI again, but It won't be possible prior to the get together. It's looking like we'll be in St Augustine prior to the 17th for review purposes. St Simons Island will be at some point after.

Been working all night and taking care of things all morning. I'm working tonight, going to sleep shortly. I'll be back around 1930hrs this evening.

I know you do, I remember your post about hardwood flooring, makes my knees hurt just thinking about it.

Still have to finish my master bedroom (just the closet and base moulding), and then the guest bedroom. Sometimes life just gets in the way of "things to do"; but that's always better than the alternative.;)

You got that right, I have projects here that I am working on, I do understand life getting in the way, and yes that is much better than at least one of the alternatives. :D
I have spent the day in between thunderstorms working on one of my projects, made a lot of progress today, not finished but a lot closer.
