I have this 14' StarCraft that I brought 3 years ago. Is this really a 1968?
Looked at the brochures part. Super Star 14?

Where can I find a replacement stern corner support for the left side of the stern?

Im going to start sanding with 100 grit soon to get the old paint off.
Has white paint.

I dont think your Starcraft is a 68 actually..
The STAR on the stern corners was their TM during the 50's and I have never seen a 60's and up with that star.

And I think that Owens may be like Buck Owens....ready to be planted!

That's a real nice old 14 footer:)

The ones with the stars on the corner brackets catch more fish;)

The three knee braces on the transom mean it's probably rated for 25-30hp. Real sturdy old hulls, you may want to check out that transom wood for replacement if it's that old.

Welcome to the armada!

This will serve as a duckboat for small lakes fishing and hunting. Have a bigger boat for fishing. (2001 Lund 1650V Rebel with 2004 50hp Yamaha, all one owner) This one has a 1982 20hp Johnson Canadian model I am trying to get running. I plan on replacing the seats and transom mount.

Your 14' is a Seafarer model. I have a 1964 and it is very similar. The main difference in the Seafarer and the other 14' models is that is is deeper. Look at how the transom dips down to take a short shaft outboard. The other model 14 has a transom that is straight across. No need to dip down to accept a short shaft outboard because the sides are lower.

Does it look like that Owens is shot and unrestorable for someone? Better to strip it out for parts?

What you have to find out is the decking soft and more importantly the transom.

If the transom is soft/rotted, it would be a fairly large undertaking to repair.
It would have to be a labor of love..And I have not seen a glass boat I can ever love that much..;)

Thanks all for the info. Only thing I'd like to find is a transom mounting bracket handle for my 20hp johnson and a transom corner bracket for the leftend corner as you can see its cracked. $75.00 from BRP is just too expensive.

looks just like my 64 starcraft seafarer.
I just bought mine 1 month ago, a 14'. Mine has a star printed on each transom corner.
I have a 1960 Johnson seahorse 18hp for the boat.

I'm interested to see what you do for the seats. I want to do something to mine, just not sure yet.

Glued up ash stock and planed down, not sure if I will be able to do that right away. Might throw in temp plywood.

Incorrect. My 64 has the stars so those were carried into the mid to late 60s at least.

I just bought my 64 Seafarer a few weeks ago and mine has a '57 Evinrude 18. Very similar. Here's a photo,.
