LOL reelfishin I have 2 in the driveway and 2 slid in sideways next to the driveway ( those 2 ae sold just waiting on the new owners to pick them up ). My 70 Jupiter with the original Merc 80 Horse motor is a keeper and the 1960 Cutter with the 59 Merc 58A motor hanging on it will be a winter garage project which I may try to sell after its done and look for a 21' Super sport or perhaps even a 21' holiday.

Kev mine actually offered to mix up a solution of Lysol to clean the mildew off the Bimini tonight ( it looks like brand new other than a few mildew spots on the outside from being in the cover for who knows how long). She mainly wants me to get ( one of them done ) so we can go out on the river together :D.

I wouldn't even consider selling the Starchief if I didn't have the SS on it's way back from paint in a few weeks. As it stands now, I can bearly walk through the back yard with the boats, several trailers, pickup, and two cars in the yard. I'd take the Starchief to my shop but it won't fit in the building there due to height on the trailer. Its over 8' off the ground if you measure the upper windshield. I could pull the top glass and all that but its still going to be a year or more till I get to that one now.
To make it worse, there's a free Chieftain tempting me not too far from here, but that needs everything, not a stitch of wood surviving on that one, but a super nice hull with near perfect original paint.

If I still had my full size truck, I'd probably already have it sitting here, somehow.

Oh I know I can prob get it for 8 Franklins...I just don't WANT to know I can get it for 800..if that makes sense...
That little 14 foot blue Jupiter (?) is still out there and I bet I can still go get her for 350 max...but..

Ignorance is bliss sometimes..

Kinda like thinking that young girl is winking at ya..But you dont WANT to know, cause ya cant do anything about it..lol

I know Diane's answer will be to SELL THE ONE YOU GOT..and I am not there yet...Think I am gonna start a secret slush fund from my work reimbursements for boat emergencies like this..lol

My wifes response would be the same. Thats what she told me when I bought this one.

She just doesnt get it.

So, how much to deliver that SS to NY? :D

Ok, I'm here to talk some sense into you people :p

Bob, get that SS. If you fish at all you will be much happier with it than the closed bow. I'm thinking a removable casting platform/chair bear69cuda-style. That's what I'd do. Yeah it's missing the windshield but those consoles are wide and would easily accommodate damn near any used windshield you picked up. Also it would end up being a tad heavier when you're done fitting it out than the closed bow would and that will be fine with that big motor we know you have.

Rick, you are completely out of control. Once A/C season dies down I think your yard is going to look like a boat manufacturing plant. That is a unique Islander. I thought they usually had larger cabins than that?

Kev, you need to finish the boat you have because it's a sweet one. Yes an open bow would be nice but that extra 2 feet you got makes a big difference. Your boat would be pretty decent for fishing I think. I'm giving you till the end of July to get that thing on the water or we're canceling your account. I think Bob can do that. That SS you posted is a good deal but I think if I was driving to FL for a boat it would have to be an 18'. Plus my truck would never make it. Good price though. You could probably sell that much too small 28 for what you paid for the whole thing.

RF is also totally crazy. If I lived within an hour of you, you'd have a lot more of these boats done because I'd be over there all the time helping you work on all those babies. Got any pics of the free Chieftain? You could probably drive us all nuts with them if you had any.

Andy, you and I are the only sane ones here :)

Hey Kev, next time I go down there for vacation I'll have to come by and check out your boat...

We didn't go there this year, but usually go every year. We love staying at the diamondhead right on ft myers beach. last year we rented a 21' CC and cruised up to sanibel and captiva islands. is your boat big enough to take out in the bay?

Well next time we come down I know whos taking us out! Im sure paying for the gas and beer/soda/whatnot will be waaaay cheaper than the $300 we spent for the day renting one!

Im actually trying to convince my wife we need to move there. I have some family there and in Lehigh Acres. Every day is 1 step closer.

dont worry about bob, i distracted him with a few links to some other super sports. I was in Lehigh last year when we were down there for my step brothers wedding... i was surprised how much it had grown. When I lived there back in 2000 there was wal mart and thats about it!

Now I never would have thought that I could have a good experiance at DMV but, I did :D The person I spoke to was also a boater and told me how to properly register the boat.

Now the fun begins..... call the seller is the next step. Wish me luck!

I was just having lunch with some co workers and one of our sales reps mentioned that his uncle was into boats... and has 7 of them, none are seaworthy.
