well, i didnt get any work done yesterday due to the rain, but im fixin to get out of work a little early and get the rest of my prep done for paint and start hitting it tonight and tomorrow while we have a few nice days.

Rain I am so sick of rain If it would rain once and be done with it I would be okay but rain 8-10 times a day is getting old!

yup. ideally if it HAS to rain, rain before 2pm... down pour even. but after that it needs to be not raining.

Yup yesterday I was in White River Junction VT in the rain in the morning and in Albany NY in the rain last night...... I am going to wear out my windshield wipers soon!

my freakin wife is seriously trying to derail me from paint today... (warning, rant ahead) my inlaws bought our kids this life insurance from woodmen of the world, and they get to go to summer camp with it. well we have to get the apps in by weeks end, and my wife was supposed to finish them today. i called to see if they were finished and she yelled at me saying shes a big girl and she doesnt need checking up on and she would get it done. this was at 9:30. she just called me a few min ago and asked if i could finish filling them out and mail them because she has to leave... gotta get her check, go to bank and then to make a payment, all before she has to be to work at 2:30. i could do all that in 30 min... but she needs 3 hours! so now i'll be stuck filling out these applicatations when i get done work today then mailing them out.

Andy the only real help mine has been on my Starcraft is offering to clean the mildew spots off of the soft top mind you I said offered cause its still sitting on one of the workbenches in the shop untouched . I still only have one side painted and am only home shortly before running 2 more service calls and of course tomorrow night its a turn and burn to Fla and back so I doubt mine see's any more paint before next week.

Well I managed to get some paint on... got the white on 1 coat the whole thing and 2nd coat 1 side and transom before i ran out...

it wasnt bad, but i still got some bubbles that i wasnt able to get rid of even by going over it like you said.... not sure yet how im going to deal with that.

my plan for today is to start on the green just on the top 2 lapstrakes... the cap is not prepped yet... need to fill some holes and stuff.

Andy the rubrail on our boats is also real easy to take off . you need to remove the caps on the transom and bow then the rubber just slides right out and the aluminum is bolted to the hull mine came off real easy.

well i got the other side finished today, but between kids dr appts and having to help set up for a big station event tomorrow thats all i got done. but sunday i have NOTHING going on and plan to devote the WHOLE day to it...

Well, SHES PAINTED!!!!

Damn it looks good... but i think im going to need to wetsand and buff... lots of orange peel texture. will doing that help get rid of it??

Also, how long should i wait till i take the tape off?

As soon as the paint is dry.... don't let the tape bake on in the sun.

I like that color.
