Have a new prop on its way for our boat, and was hoping for confirmation I made a good choice.
Boat Info: 2004 Glastron 195SX Bowrider & Volvo 5.0L 220HP I/O with a 1.60 ratio. Glastron says the boat is 18' 7" long, 90 3/4" beam, weighs 2550 lbs. with a 21 deg. deadrise.
I'm currently running a 14&1/4" x 21" Michigan Wheel Aluminum 3 Blade Prop, and we boat on freshwater at 900ft above sea level. With just my wife & I in the boat and trimmed for speed, I get 53mph (GPS) at about 4800rpm.
The new prop is a Stiletto Bay Pro II 4 Blade Stainless Prop in 14&1/4" x 20". I'm hoping to improve Hole Shot, Midrange and Cornering without sacrificing too much on the top end. The boat normally has 2-4 on-board but can have up to 6-7 occasionally.
The one I'm getting may be the older model with a pressed in hub. Are these the same as the newer ones except for the hub?
Who makes Stiletto Props, I can't find a homepage for them?
Thanks
