Wait for the video evidence, if any. And remember what Gunny Hartman taught us about our foot lockers.

By now they've surely had time to review the surveillance video.... What did they find??? I'm eager for this guy to get what's coming to him!! What a piece of trash! (for lack of a better word)
Good luck to you in this unfortunate situation.

Re: Taking Liberty with O.P.S.

Conclusion :
Tapes clearly show hubby & wife arriving back at boat 11:38 PM board ing there boat, then hubby (Philip) leaving his boat fiddling around behind my dock box...urinating into box....unplugging my shore power..removing the adapter..tossing it into the drink.....then his lovely wife Pamela) using something to cut my water line...then reboarding there Mainship. Received the call from Police asking if i wanted to press charges...uh..Yea. Philip, when confronted with evidence, claimed he was drunk and will replace all above items,or write a check for same, i agreed if that was done i will drop charges, along with the stipulation he leaves the Marina, agreed. Marina Manager stated she was going to boot them anyway...Problem solved....not quite...marina has a restaurant with outside bar attached, came back from helping a friend bring his boat up from Isle of Palms..he offered to buy me a soda ( i don't drink) said "sure" went to Fillets...(bar at marina) well...well...well there's my pal Philip and his oh,so glamorous wife tootsie or whatever, sitting at the bar..Hammered. He spy's me and comes over and say's...."wheres your sense of humor,it was all a practical joke,we were trying to break the ice"...No, im not kidding, this is exactly what he said,i politely asked him to leave us alone, and turned my back...so he repeats something about my lack of a sense of humor...i ignore him, then he Bit*h slaps me in the back of the head and asks me for an answer....i am stunned.Leave it at the fact that my right hand still hurts alot and im sure both his face and stomach are a tad sore, called Horry County PD,left a voice mail for the investigating officer on the original deal,he called me back after speaking to Philip & bar owner said considering he hit first i had nothing to worry about,as of this afternoon i have a new dock box..hose...adapter, life has resumed its happy little journey...No Mainship in marina, "Bad Karma" back in the water with a new bottom coat. So i guess this concludes the Most Obnoxious Boat Owners Ever.

That's amazing....
I'm glad it worked out in your favor (like it defiantly should have). Sorry you had to deal with this whole saga though. Thanks for sharing the story.

Well, a part of me is glad that you opened a can of Whiskey Alfa on him, and another part wishes you had just called the cops and pressed charges the second time. The sore jaw is gonna hurt for awhile, but the legal bills he would have had for a criminal attorney, would have been fun to laugh about too! Not to mention the lawsuit that you could have filed against him for whiplash! :D

WOW!!! I have respect for you as you played it out perfect. My hand would have hurt a long time ago and would have had a problem with the courts. Messing around with ones property is not cool and vandalism to it is even worse! I am glad it all worked out in your favor, I need to take notes and learn there is a time and place for everything, rather than acting on impulse. Nice job!

Yeah, I too would have liked to see him in some more legal trouble...

I agree, but then again, he would have had to deal with that POS for another couple of months.

I'm with Jay on this one.

Nothing like a long police rap list, to ruin his reputation in advance at the next marina, when he pulls this **** all over again.

Glad to hear there gone, and I am on the other side of the world. I would hate to have Mr. & Mrs. Gold Medal Jerk, move in next to us.

At the moment, one of our neighbors is competing for Silver and Bronze.

Just more examples of “money won't buy you class“.

Re: Taking Liberty with O.P.S.

Good for you. There are people who are just such creaps that they think they can get away with anything.

WRONG!!!!!

Its not uncommon to beat these folks to the ground and call the police. They are usually taken away, and found to other assult charges against them.

Glad you got the system on your side, and beat the crap out of the dumb
As-.

I once had a bully type hassle me in a metal shop every day. I was much better fabricator than him, and in better physical condition, but still smaller. He grabs my stock, my saw and starts giving me crap. I grap his hand, slap it on the table and pick up a big hammer. Gave him a choice to leave me alone for ever, or pay the price. He called me a name. I smashed his hand 3 or 4 times with a hammer, breaking many bones and knuckels in his hand. He never bothered me again. Lesson well learned. Never even got detention.

Wow! What a moron! A little alcohol and he loses all common sense. Never mind, though. He's gone, and you got some new gear to replace the old.

Amazing story!

Why couldn't you still press charges for the assault in the bar???

You're probably right. A moron, drunk or sober. Oh, well...next thing he'll probably do is sink his boat somewhere.

Re: Taking Liberty with O.P.S.

I just noticed that your boat is named "Bad Karma." Damn, I guess it worked:D
I would hope that your marina manager would spread the word about the creeps and get them pushed a long distance away.
