Wow that is looking awesome! I may have missed it, but what did you put down for replacement foam?

Where did you end up piping the exhaust to?

Re: The Baja Project

I was able to get some projects completed on the boat.

The new dash is installed along with the new steering wheel.

Painted the Bilge and then put a little color in it and the ski storage. I think it will help break up the white. What does everybody think?

Completed one of the side panels.
Old side panel can be seen in this photo

thats going to be a damn nice boat when you get it finished, hope mine will come out that nice. I am going to use your idea for labeling switches, I don't know why I didn't think of it already we do vinyl decals at work all the time.

Thank you! Use all the ideas you want, I have used my share of ideas from others on this forum.

Re: The Baja Project

Today we did some wiring on the boat. Worked on getting the LED lighting figured out. I think it will have a nice glow when completed.

We also got the gauges wired up and was able to lite them up.

For a glasser that is shaping up fine. ;) Just kidding. The colors and lighting will make it glow.

Looks good. Are the front seat bolsters or pedestals?

Built a batt box that will hold 2 batteries and mounted it in the engine bay. Also mounted the batt switch that will be hidden but easy to access.

Nice, Neat work on the Wiring. Did you label it all for future reference or make a referece chart??

Yes the cover for the fuse boxes are labeled and I have made a wiring/fusebox schematic for the boat. I am going to make a cheat sheet with all the circuits that will fit in the glove box and have it laminated.

There will be a back to back seating on the passenger side and a captain seat with a flip up bolster for the captains chair. I will be giving up 1 seat compared to using both back to back as it had however this makes some roome for water toys and cooler. Seems it is always a issue with having these things in the way and hopefully this will cure that problem.

I left the foam out! The boat is big enough it did not need it. I also made some drain holes through the boat incase water does get under the floor for some reason it has a path that it can make it to the bilge pump. I also painted any area water could run under the floor with bilge paint so no chance of wood soaking up water. I am also going to put the largest bilge pump I can use on the boat (maybe a small backup) just incase there is a issue with taking on water. Unless it is a MAJOR hole the larger bilge should allow for extra time before it goes to the bottom.
