Hey Vegas,

That thread was up long before I started this one, thats from 1/09 I didn't start this one till 10/09. I actually borrowed the Zombies Ahead sign in my post #7 on page 1 from Gonefishie, in fact he still hosts the pic LOL and yes I did give him the credit.

I didn't steal the Idea from him either though , I got the idea for it from thrillhouse , you,him and Rick and I were always cross threading with each other, then thrill drank to much one night and thought I was going out hunting Zombies :D instead of Bambies and that was the birth of this thread :) . I actually started it so the higher powers wouldn't get perturbed that our resto threads were 1/2 filled with guns, boilers, kids sick, personal stuff etc.

Great that you got the outdrive hung, still pics aren't going to cut it for the splashdown, I WANT VIDEO :D

And hey your A.D.D. is kicking in, BWR is in FLA, upper rt corner lol....

OK, My Turn :D

Nice snake. Did its job eating rats and mice, cats and what not. Now it would make a nice pair of boots or something.

Dave Barry has some good quotes. It is easy to cross that line though.

The whole zombies vs bambies thing is also easy to mix up. Don`t know who started it but someone has to go. Damn bambies jumping out of ditches and attacking cars and zombies out of alleys. Don`t start nothin`and there won`t be nothin`I always say :)

Vegas, your Sleek is such a great looking boat. Just had to pop in and say that.

OK, back to your regularly scheduled hijackings.

Hi-Jack just watched a decent zombie movie from England or the UK or something called DOGHOUSE. it is suppose to be like Shaun of the dead but it was a lot more gruesome, and not as funny. worth the watch.

Hailing BWR

Hey BWR I have a basil problem was wondering if you could give some advice with your green thumb

100_0168.jpg

As you probably guessed the plant got away from me and wound up root bound. This is a before photo while it was root bound. I have transplanted to a much bigger pot but was afraid to separate the plants. There are now 7 plants with a mangled mess of roots:eek:. Two problems the base of the steams have turned brown and the plant has started to crawl. I am thinking its the weakness in the stem.
My question, should I wash out the roots to separate the plants or just leave them in the new much bigger pot and just nature do its thing? BTW I did pinch off the flowers to keep the plant sweet

Green thumb? Me? Ha! I'm still a rank beginner. LOL

Sounds like you did exactly the right thing by repotting. If possible, I'd recommend breaking the plants into 2 or 3 smaller bunches, being very careful when untangling the roots. Don't wash the soil away, just separate them by hand, then repot into appropriately sized containers. I had a mexican pepperleaf plant (tastes sorta like licorice - great with pork) that was doing that very same lower leaves yellowing thing. The leaves would slowly die and fall off until I repotted the plant. Then it did the same thing yet again. When the weather finally warmed up enough, I stuck it in the ground in my front tree island, where it's very happy now!

Here's my current garden status... corn and tomatoes front & left. Bellpeppers on the right.

Thanks BWR I was not sure what to do, glad I posted before trying to separate. Right now being it was root bound the roots are a mess. I will wait a day or two , maybe they will untangle a bit before I try to do it. Your garden is looking real nice.
Your mexican pepperleaf plant made my mind go back to when I was a kid in my grandmas garden, we had something that we used to call finocchio (Fennel but its a variety of the plant) We actually called it something shorter BUT the meaning of the word has Drastically changed since 1968, so I will not say it here ( you just have to love the show the Sopranos changing the meanings of words in the Italian dictionary to something derogatory  Man that really pisses me off) but we used to eat the celery like stalk. My grandma used it in her salads etc.

Cool Video Vegas,

My Turn Hijack !!!

By Special request from my Dad and my Wife I cooked Artichokes this afternoon to go with Dinner:) My Grandma's recipe of course :D

100_0186.jpg

Real ones not the poor attempt you find in most restaurants. Every leaf hand stuffed with Locatelli cheese, garlic & bread crumbs with a chunk of cheese and garlic stuffed in the center . Then cooked/steamed till the 1st leaf falls off Yummm .

Vegas- Cool Video!Jezebel is looking good. I especially liked the still photo montage near the end. All about creating memories!

HVAC- mmmmmmmmmmm yummmmmmmmm

HIJACK: how about this cool little kayak? So much fun to sail upstream, and float back to home!
klepperwithsail.jpg

Took the kid out the other evening for her first sail ever! We got to play Pirates! Too bad our only loot was a few old tin cans, two golf balls and some other trash in the river.

Hey, I think I figured out the Photobucket Thing! Yippie!
