Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

Gun came in 2 days ago. Sighted it yesterday with 3 shots. Adjusted the scope once. The last 2 shots grouped at a 1/2" on center of each @100yds. Needless to say, I'm very pleased. Had enough time to sit in the stand last nite. Saw 3 does and a fawn right before dark. Now it's blowin' and snowin'. First snow of the season.

Great news on the new rifle sorry to hear you missed the big one :(
Hunting season starts earlier by you our don't start till Saturday.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA lately heating season is here and I have been a one legged man in a butt kicking contest. In addition to that I've been playing with my Jeeps :D

Well I am going upstate thursday to get ready for the weekend. One of the reasons is because I have to install a new hot water heater . THe last time my parents went to the house the heater blew up when my dad tried to light it and gave my 85 yo dad 3rd degree burns. Took the skin off every finger on his right hand, and even burnt off his eyebrows because his face was close :(

My solution, I bought a Noritz on demand water heater with electric start so he never has to go near it again!!!!

My boss hit a really big deer the other night. It was in his 03 Silverado with 300k on it. Would be a shame if they totaled it because it runs like a top still and he just put a new beefed up tranny in it.

It's a good thing I don't own a gun........I put a water feature in our yard this summer and after lots of discussions with my wife, she won and I made the pond much smaller than I had intended. Then I made the mistake of buying a couple dozen goldfish to put in at $3.50 per dozen. Well to keep this short she looked after the feeding. Then one day we were sitting on the bench sipping a cocktail and what do I hear " Honey, you were right, the pond's too small, can you make it bigger" I was shocked. she actually said I was right.......geesh!!!

So I had a hole dug so I could start the expansion as soon as the frost was gone. As he was digging he hit ground water at about 3'. When I excavated in the spring we were down about 6' at one point, trying to get used to how a mini excavator works, and it was dry.
Then we had a huge rainfall 2 weeks ago and now it looks like this.

Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

Just checking in to wish you guys a Happy Thanksgiving. I guess since the boat is complete and put away for the year I do not check in very often. As soon a spring comes around I am sure I will be back asking questions trying to figure something out. I know Bill(hvac cruiser) and myself have been working on the jeeps so if its not one thing its the other. :D

HIJACK!

Well, several frosts in a row finally killed off my bellpepper plants. I harvested the last 5 gnarly looking peppers this morning and will cook 'em up in some wild boar stew.

But 8 months of pepper production ain't bad! :D

8 months of peppers......

JACKED....

The kid rode her, new to her, snowmobile today. First time ever behind the throttle. You know those vids of kids where they hammer the throttle right from the get go, that was her. Luckily, she hit the brake lever b/4 the woods! After awhile she started getting the hang of it.........

The pic was seconds b/4 the throttle got hammered....

Re: The Hijack Zone - Zombies Welcome

HIJACK!!

I feel like I've been stabbed in the throat... oh wait, I have been!

Went to the doc yesterday morning to have more injections into my vocal cords to improve my voice. This was the 2nd time I?ve had this procedure done. The first set of injections that I had done this summer did help somewhat, although the improvement didn?t last very long.

This time it was less difficult and painful than the first time. The team did a good job. It?s still an unpleasant procedure, since I remain fully awake and providing feedback after each injection while the needle is still in my throat and the camera is up my nose.

The swelling should be reduced in the next 7 ? 10 days and hopefully I?ll regain some of my old voice.

The variation on how long the procedure gives benefit varies from individual to individual. It can range anywhere from a few weeks to 2 years. Due to heavy vocal cord scarring, I?m on the fringe edge (natch) of patients who have this done, so the gain may not be as much as hoped, nor may it last very long. We?re hoping that it will make it to 6 months of improvement. If that?s the case, I?ll repeat as necessary. If it only helps me for a month or two, I likely won?t do it again. Not worth it.

Time will tell!
