Re: This shou8ld get some kind of award!

Hey Pointer! Here I thought I was more pessimistic then you. JB locked the other thread on this subject so I'm respondin' to ya here.

We are not alone here my man. The trends are now our friends, (specifically the media). Talk radio is still growin' and Liberal ideas don't fly there any better then pigs, (where there is immediate in yer face feed back from people like you and I), any better then their Lib ideas fly here on DC for the same exact reason.

Facts, Logic and history will eventually prevail over issues of style, it just takes some time to overcome the huge dissadvantages we currently face, (and have faced since 1930). I agree that all current politicians are at fault for the list of grievances you stated on the other Patton thread. That said: there is a silver lining in our horrible situation. The Democrats are out on a limb right now and need defeat in Iraq any way they can get it done. It may not happen, (W Kristol). If they get the defeat they are workin' real hard to get, the results are also predictable and very devastating. This crisis is different then the past, IMHO, and the past formula that has worked well since 1932 will not work this time. We either win, (or look to be winin' n' make 'em blink or loose because of 'em n' loose a city or two). Hope it is the former not the latter, but the media and the internet and a real war not a "bumper sticker" will force their hand. My $.02, Respectfully, JR

Your right OMR we think al lot alike on most things, … but. And it is a big BUT, this incompetent administration that you, are defending, that has the gall to call themselves conservatives. Using any criteria that you can think of, how can this group of incompetents be called conservative or Republicans?

Janet Reno should have a slow death in hell, the vilest person ever to draw a breath, there are not many people in my long life that I have hated more than Janet Reno. Even in the military I haven’t hated the enemy more that her.

On April19,1993 in Waco, Texas ‘74’, precious souls was stricken from the books of my church. Yes that includes Vernon Wayne Howell, you probably know him as David Koresh, born in Houston, Texas in 1959.

JR I believe I have read where you worked in WW, if you did you are familiar with College Place, the denomination, of that College is where the Branch Davidians sprung up from, and yes they were still on the church rolls when they died. I didn’t attend the school, was to busy with other activities, about twenty of my first cousins attended, and my uncle had a dental practice in Milton. I still consider myself a Christian, but believe me things have taken a long backslide since that day in spite of my families attempts. And yes I lost a few close friends that day also:(

Turin,

Since you're close, I suggest you take a stroll over to the Anne Frank house and then watch that video again . . . that may help reawaken the confusion that clouds not only yours, but many Europeans' judgement. People that gas children are animals. I don't know what you call people that raise their own children as future suicide bombers ;)

Europe's memory is sooooo short it really scares me.

I suspected that as well: Mr Tree, because like me Bro Haut, you tend to troll a lot and you are very hard to pin down into precise positions. (Bro Haut is brief and you and I go on and on).

… but. And it is a big BUT, this incompetent administration that you, are defending, that has the gall to call themselves conservatives.

I don't "defend" the administration Mr. Tree I call 'em as I see 'em. I don't feel they are incompetent at all. That is a term the MSM and Dems and Liberals repeat over and over, and I cornsider it propaganda designed to help our enemies. Nothing more nothing less.

Using any criteria that you can think of, how can this group of incompetents be called conservative or Republicans?

They are Republicans Mr. Tree.

The selection of Federal Judges is the best I've seen in my lifetime, (ex Harreit Miers). The tax cuts are very cornservative Mr. Tree. He is not a Barry Goldwater but he is far to the right of **** Nixon or GHW Bush. I cornsider him a middle of the road 'modern American' Cornservative, who favors BIG FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, His big weakness in my book. He is much farther Right then John McCain.

Janet Reno should have a slow death in hell, the vilest person ever to draw a breath, there are not many people in my long life that I have hated more than Janet Reno. Even in the military I haven’t hated the enemy more that her.

I don't 'hate' her but she was a very bad AG. The worst in history IM not so HO.

Agreed, I did not like the Ruby Ridge matter either, (BB named my private island RR Island :D:D), as you know.

JR I believe I have read where you worked in WW,

yup, good memory, I worked n' lived in Walla Walla. I worked for Mell Lyons Custom harvesting in Milton-Freewater Or. and Chisolm Ryder buildin' pea Combines in WW that winter circa 1975 or 1976.

Wow, I understand your passion: now. Janet Reno was absolutely terrible in that matter. Did you know Gen. Wesley Clark played a role too? Respectfully JR

Funny :D ..... Movie..
But as being a from Holland i don't really agree.
Mr Turin,
What don't you agree with? It was a parody of the speech in the movie "Paton". Gen. Patton's drive and perseverance kept us all from having to learn German as a first language. When you are at war, any kind of war, winning is not a sometime thing. Winning is everything.
There's a long history of tradition in the USA of when we are attacked we fight back.
It started when King George III sent his troops to Lexington and Concord, MA.
We threw him and his army out of our lands. At the surrender of Gen. Cornwallis to Gen. Washington the army band played Yankee Doodle for the pleasure of the British troops.
The Japanese attacks on Hawaii and the Philippines - We went after them too.
Then Hitler declared war on the USA and we sent Patton and others to remedy the situation.
In those situations the Americans didn't stop until the job was done.
Contrary to most news reports, the American people want to win in Iraq and win in the war on terror.
Bad guys should not knock down buildings in our country. It upsets us.

Hmmm...You start with a flawed premise, you're likely to reach a flawed concusion. That seems to remain true, no matter how it is delivered, or who delivers it.

Some things in this world do seem to be reliable.

Quoted from treedancer " Janet Reno should have a slow death in hell, the vilest person ever to draw a breath, there are not many people in my long life that I have hated more than Janet Reno. Even in the military I haven’t hated the enemy more that her."

Treedancer, I see you still consider yourself to be a "Christian". If so, you should realize that all life is precious to God, even the vialest offender. Don't wish anyone a slow death in hell. Pray for thier salvation. Remember Paul in the bible murdered Christians for thier beliefs. But Jesus used him to be one of the most powerful tools for His glory.

" On April19,1993 in Waco, Texas ‘74’, precious souls was stricken from the books of my church. Yes that includes Vernon Wayne Howell, you probably know him as David Koresh, born in Houston, Texas in 1959."

Even David Koreshs' soul is precious. However, there is only one God, and one Jesus Christ through whom all must be saved, and anyone claiming to be Him is a blastfemist. Any one who follows such a person is in danger of missing the true savior Jesus Christ, whom without, is without God.

I love how they call dubbya incompetent but will defend to the grave the man who sat back and did nothing through the first WTC bombing, numerous bombings on our interests overseas and was found to have lied under oath.

Maybe the dems need to stop giving themselves 4 year prostate exams and see the world how it really is.

exert from my previous post to OMR

<I didn?t attend the school, was to busy with other activities, about twenty of my first cousins attended, and my uncle had a dental practice in Milton. I still consider myself a Christian, but believe me things have taken a long backslide since that day in spite of my families attempts.>

Not going to get into a longwinded haroque on this 57,note the first underlined part, that was when I was in the USMC, the second is being worked on by my family, including my wife. No excuses, most likely a cop out on my part, it is what it is, hopefully there is some of the flames of the past still burning in this old shell. That is what my wife quotes when she starts on me every Sabbath.:(

Wtif I am assuming that was directed at me. First you are the one that is calling our President dubbya ,it didn?t come from me.:D Second after the fist term I wasn?t supporting President Clinton, supporting the local party but not him, as you can see by my post to OMR the luster was off of Clintons, still is.

Don?t know about the prostrate exam, maybe an explanation coming from you would help.

Re: This shou8ld get some kind of award!

you know treedancer, I like you. I respect you for serving this country and I see you have strong views. I don't have to agree on everything with you, but I listen.

Speaking of listening, LISTEN TO YOUR WIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your spiritual welfare is of the utmost importance. I won't preach to you anymore unless you PM a question or two, but you will find extra peace in your family when you all agree on your faith(not saying you don't have peace, i don't know you).
