Re: This shou8ld get some kind of award!
Hey Pointer! Here I thought I was more pessimistic then you. JB locked the other thread on this subject so I'm respondin' to ya here.
We are not alone here my man. The trends are now our friends, (specifically the media). Talk radio is still growin' and Liberal ideas don't fly there any better then pigs, (where there is immediate in yer face feed back from people like you and I), any better then their Lib ideas fly here on DC for the same exact reason.
Facts, Logic and history will eventually prevail over issues of style, it just takes some time to overcome the huge dissadvantages we currently face, (and have faced since 1930). I agree that all current politicians are at fault for the list of grievances you stated on the other Patton thread. That said: there is a silver lining in our horrible situation. The Democrats are out on a limb right now and need defeat in Iraq any way they can get it done. It may not happen, (W Kristol). If they get the defeat they are workin' real hard to get, the results are also predictable and very devastating. This crisis is different then the past, IMHO, and the past formula that has worked well since 1932 will not work this time. We either win, (or look to be winin' n' make 'em blink or loose because of 'em n' loose a city or two). Hope it is the former not the latter, but the media and the internet and a real war not a "bumper sticker" will force their hand. My $.02, Respectfully, JR
