Re: Tow Vehicle Tires

We pulled 10 to 12k coast to coast with the D rated Michelins...no problems.
This was a 48 foot enclosed two car hauler fifth wheel trailer.

Likewise I have many many times towed over 10,000 pounds on D-rated tires. (Case 90XT skid loader+trailer 8950+2150=11,100 pounds). Just because it is D-rated doesn't mean it is a sacrifice or a compromise.

There's a 70$ rebate from Michelin if you buy before the 16th this month, save you a few bucks.

America's Tires seems to ALWAYS have a $70 rebate going on Michelins. I've bought 3 sets for different vehicles there in the past couple years, and I got $70 rebate all 3 times. Maybe it was just the timing..dunno.

I usually give them all my business anyway just because they do free flat repairs - no questions asked. Even if you bought the tire somewhere else you can just drop in and they will dismount / plug / remount for free. I like that.

Every time I've shopped they beat even COSTCO on installed price. No, I don't work for them...I just like old fashioned customer-service.

A friend at work drove his F-250 today with 235's on it. When I asked him how he liked them his reply was: "Yeah baby, pizza cutters!". Good mileage, but a bit too tall and skinny.

I think I'll stick with the 265's...
