Wife surprised me with this one. She walked into Bass Pro and told the sales guy that her husband is an electronics geek and she wants to buy him something really nice. So she walked out with this. I was a little shocked opening it.

Shiny.

If you get her a car so she doesn't have to walk to BasPro she might get ya something nicer.:D(just kiddin)

Thats actually the one I want but am waiting for someone else to buy it for me.

P.S. I got my wife a car 2 years ago and she still hasn't gotten me a GPS fish finder yet:confused::)

I make her walk so she stays in shape. Actually, I think it might be a little more than I really need. Might downgrade a little and bank the extra cash. I can see gas prices high next summer, so I might need a little extra in the reserve fund.

Awesome, Dude...can I have your wife call my wife??? ;)

I own two Lowrance LMS units, great brand and troublefree..

With the sidescan option, you will be finding every little hiding area they are in..

That's awesome!!! I did very nicely, myself... My wife got me a Magnus party size SS Combo 2 kettle grill, rail mount, and sunbrella cover. In-Laws gave me two Hull Hug'r 9'X26" folding fenders. These things are fantastic:D... So are my wife and her parents:D.

She usually does, but this year she kind of surprised me. I got this and a leveling kit for the truck. Not too bad. I'm actually thinking it's a little more than I need. I was looking at saving us around $240 and pre-ordering a Humminbird 597ci HD DI and returning this.

I'm going the other way. Wife saved up a couple of hundred and her brother gave us a Cabelas gift card for another hundred, and she told me to go get a fish finder with it. I'm lookin at stretching the budget and getting the HDS5.

Heck, it's got wonderful sonar, GPS, mapping, and you can add on
Side Scan
Radar
Marine weather
Multiple slaves
Whatever else they dream up in the future.

I think I'll watch for it in the bargain bin (open box)

It helps that I netted the 2 biggest bass that came into the boat this year, because they were on her line.
