Re: Upper Chesapeake Bay Fall Foliage Cruise

I am going to give you guys great weather.
We are not coming. I haven't towed the boat on a longer distance and don't want the first time to be on slippery roads.:(

Dang it! We're on our way, we'll bring the boat to breakfast, and launch from Anchor.

Scott, I will meet you for breakfast!!! Even if it is just us!!! Stupid rain, it ruins everything!

I won't bring the boat though. If it clears up, maybe I will catch a ride with you for a little bit if you don't mind. My wife won't be coming, just me. She is exhausted from our traveling day yesterday. Didn't get back to the bay till midnight.

Anyway, I will see you at the Goose at 9 for breakfast. Give me a call on my cell if something changes.

To the rest of you - I don't blame you for bailing, I am just upset the weather is not coporeating anymore!!!! Maybe we can meet up some time, that is what I was looking forward to the most! Have a great day everyone!

Well, it's after 12 noon so, knowing Scott and Brandon, I'm betting they went out- even if it was raining. They're definitely die-hard boaters! :D

Scott- I don't have your #. PM me with it when you can.

I think I would have tried it if I had a bimini top, but with no protection, I didn't want to chance it.
Over the winter I am going to track down a used top.

Yep, you are right!!! :D Funny thing is we used that exact phrase when we getting pounded with the rain. Altough, it did clear off for a little bit and the we enjoyed our time.

Scotts wife took a few pictures, so maybe he will post them later.

Hope that you all had a good day and we will have to try and get everyone together next spring!!

I got mine off of craigslist. I put in a wanted ad, and I got all kinds of people trying to sell me one. Paid $75.

Scott - I had a great time today. Thanks for letting me ride with you guys, it was nice to just be out on the water again, what a little water anyway! Thanks for posting the pics too.

John and EZ - Hopefully we can all get together sometime in the spring for a raftup and show you guys around the upper bay some. You won't want to go back to long level! ;)

Arks - Sorry we didn't get to meet up today. Maybe sometime before you winterize we will catch you at the marina. Hope you get to use the boat some more before winterizing.

Supernova - Still want to meet up with you sometime, maybe next spring as well. Hopefully we can get a big raft up going. Rob headed up the one this year and I think that it needs to become an annual event!

Everyone else who posted - Keep your eyes open for more threads next year. We will get everyone together one way or another.

Now it is time to winterize - depressing!!!

Pics look great. I'm definitely in for something in the spring. At least I got some good work done on the boat today! Here's hoping next year isn't all rainy weekends like this year.
