Re: Usernames....... the weird ones

mine has a story behind it
my dads name is ray as well, rather then call me JR they gave me 2 middle names,
when i would go see my aunts and uncles they all called me little ray.
when i turned sixteen i was taller then my dad at 5'8"
and about 50lbs heavier then him.
so now its kinda like in the movies, when the mob boss calls tiny over and you get this monster of a man who has to duck through the door

Re: Usernames....... the weird ones

My nick, well.. I was sitting around one day, trying to figure out a username.. The admiral admittedly had some input on this one..
h2o = well, yanno.. boats scoot along on this stuff.
and my name is Richard, so.. naturally.. "h2odick"!
Another one I had considered was "Richard Cranium", an ex girlfriend's dad used to call me this when I was 15 or so, didn't get it right away. He didn't like me a whole lot.

Re: Usernames....... the weird ones

I first started using mine I think back in the early AOL instant messenger days. One of my favorite albums at the time was Miles Davis' final studio album which was actually more of a hip-hop record than jazz called Doo-Bop. He collaborated with a hip-hop producer named Easy Mo Bee. So if you've been pronouncing my screen name in your head as esmobe, well you're wrong :p

My high school baseball coach nicknamed me Spyder (spelling was my decision, just to be different). 9179 was my landline number for many years, though I don't have a landline anymore. When I started creating usernames for different websites, spyder was already taken, so I stuck those numbers, that I would remember rather than random ones, on the end.

when I bought my boat my heart and sole were in margaritaville and I was in Atlanta... misspelled
cause of a one time poster on Fla sportsman forum.

Bond-o, I was under the impression as a mechanic you had a saying like "Slap some Bondo on it will be good." like us aircraft tech's use the saying "it flew in it will fly out" or "Its not the Space Shuttle"
