Re: Waterman? Are You?

Do I qualify as a waterman when I will close the shop at 1:00 in the afternoon, just to go sit on the boat at the dock and hunt around to find something to tinker with?

Any excuse to be on the boat?

Am I the only one who has ever sat on the boat in the driveway, drinking a beer and listening to the radio while the rest of the family were in the house eating dinner?

Since I am new at this... and I am working on a project boat.. I do this A LOT.. the wife looks at me like... what are you doing... I look back hold up my beer and say "Honey not now the water is PERFECT"

sasto vs Incoop.

Well well, Sasto and Incoop are neck and neck with Incoop just getting in front on the long straight, Sasto on 2,402 posts and Incoop on 2,404 as we come to the crucial part of the day.
Has sasto logged of to go to sea? Will Incoop be up all night to gain the advantage?
Has sasto got something up his sleeve? (probably)
Can Incoop come back with a blast of humour and posts to put the nail in the coffin? Not sure if he has the staying power butr we'll see.........

Tune back folks for the next episode.:D

After you return from the sea after a couple beers, metalwizard, can you strap my butt to one of your rockets. I can take a brew with me and pretend I'm working for NASA.

My wife thinks I'm nuts when I sit in the boat in the driveway with a beer just wiping it down
However, she's the one that wanted to go on a cruiseship 1 week after leaving the Navy

No way! May save your life someday.

I'm seriously thinking about ditching the Chris Craft next winter and find me a sportfish headed south thru the islands. It took me a long time getting used to living on a boat, but it is taking me longer to get used to living back on land. I'd rather wash a boat than a car.

Sportfishing is a tough business and I gave it up due to my health, but I feel I'm ready now. 6 months ago I could work for about a half of a day. I put in 12 the other day. Of course I take breaks and check in here.

Since I grew up in WV, I never really had the love of the sea. Today, I don't think I can get enough.

I know how you guys feel sitting on your boat while on land. I was fixing up a boat for my Lady, and half of the time I just sat there pondering. I thought I was on some far off island. She thought I was working on her boat, and catered to my needs.
