Toad is what I call my 15' Boston Whaler GLS which is used as a dinghy and Towed behind my 32' Grand Banks trawler. I bought the Whaler in 2001. Great fun.

My boat is a Johnstone Reef Runna, I think Carribean boats have 'Reef Runner'.

The boat already had the name Dunnarunna painted on the side. I'd like to change it to 'Hydrotherapy', a perfect description, but its bad luck to change a boats name, isn't it?

Aldo

Throbbin Rods, because that is what we all want to see on the back of the boat, right? Some years back had a boat named Pure Lure - then I discovered live bait. Had a buddy who named his 12 footer "Shut Up And Bail"

Me? I just used my family nickname "Butch" and my last name initial "A" for Ammon. No biggie... I am "ButchA" on multiple boards, so if you run across that screen name, it's most likely me. If you *really* want to know more, just click on my little AO-Hell website that I made:

http://members.aol.com/ammonc/butch.html

Butch A.

18rabbit was the 13th ruler of the ancient Mayan empire, 695-735AD. Images and the names of all 16 rulers are derived from a single stone that was found in the ruins of a plaza. Since then, other stone statues have been found of 18rabbit. 18rabbit has nothing to do with rabbits. :)

Jinx comes from a the cat in the "Freddy the Pig" childrens books that I read from to my 3 boys. We all liked his attitude.

Re: What does your username stand for?

Hello all, Had to create a screen name years ago to join AOL. Have been a volunteer firefighter for several years in this small town I live in. Hence the "fire" part of the handle. Love boats, anything to do with boats! Hence the "ship" part of the handle. I guess I could have gone with "fireboat" but I think ship sounds much more bold! :D The number one is just something I added to make it original. Glad I found this board, it has given me much satisfaction and laughs since I joined it. Thanks iBoats and all the great "old timers" who post here and make this whole experience possible for all of us! ;)

Re: What does your username stand for?

I owned a firearms and fishing tackle business back in the 80's. I had an imaginative friend who upon seeing me would say "Boom Ya'll". It eventually stuck as his nickname for me. It became a natural when I came upon the internet scene.
