I tow 4000# with a 07 tacoma in the mountains of NC with no problems.Truck is rated at 6500(I think). Boat,trailer,wife and kids it does fine.You can tell its back there though !!

I brought my project home with my spare vehicle, a 97 S-10, 2.2l Four Cylinder, manual transmission. Towed it on the bumper. Actually didn't have any problem pulling it 30 miles at all. I'm assuming the boat and trailer weigh around 2000 lbs (which is what the truck is rated for).

99 Chevy Tahoe 4WD,Towing the big ChrisCraft,about 5000k or better loaded down.Trans and oil cooler,locking differential. 5.7 with a Super chips towing program,K&N cold air intake,true dual flowmaster exhaust with high flow converters.Performance drilled and vented brake rotors and pads.

This is my rig... That is a 100 series Landcruiser, on the outside. Most of the running gear is not Toyota. It has a 6.5l V8 diesel engine, a 12" clutch, 3.9:1 diffs and completely non-Toyota suspension. And although the gearbox/transfer is Toyota, it's not 100 series.

The tyres on the car are at 12psi and on the trailer 10psi!

What brand of 6.5 and axles are under your Yota?

The engine's a GM and the axles are the original 'yota with different ratio centres.

1952 Ferguson...just for getting the Scout up the sand ramp and out of the water at the cottage. Traffic backs up something fierce it I take her into town... ;-)

if you want to get a new truck go get the Toyota Tundra(07-08). Best truck on the road for anything.End of Story

The Tundra is the nicest of the gas trucks but the sticker shock is unreal.

I tow my Tahoe Q6 with a 2wd Durango (5.2l). However with over 206,000 miles, I'm considering a Saturn Outlook with towing package. Anybody using an Outlook for a tow vehicle.

you'l be fine your truck weighs no more than 3,800 lbs you can tow up to 7,000 lbs the trailer probly weighs 1-1,300 lbs

Yea, It's a minivan, but sometimes ya gotta make concessions to get what YOU want. Like a new Ranger.

Here's my last rig. Still got the 23 year-old truck and it still looks this good, though she hasn't been out of the garage in five years. Needs a motor rebuild - Someday.......
