CAR 1972 Dodge Dart slant 6 smashed up on both side 225k miles Paid $225 dollars for it in the 80s drove it 40000 miles without an oil change hahaha or brakes...(metal to metal) those were the days!!!!

My first car I bought back in 1974 was 1968 Shelby Cobra Mustang GT 500. First boat was brand new 1972 MFG Niagara 15'

'73 Gran Torino. I was in 3rd grade when it came off the assembly line. Dual exhaust! I thought I had a hot rod, but the compression was shot and it burned oil almost as fast as it burned gas.

First car was I bought myself was a 1982 Ford Mustang with a 2.3 and a 4 spd manual. $2000
First bike was a 1981 Kawasaki 650 CSR $350.00
First boat was a 1978 Rinker 17' bowrider I had to rebuild. I traded a 1986 KTM 250 MX dirtbike that I had restored. I got the boat, motor, trailer and 200 bucks.

I was 17 when I bought the car, 18 when I bought the bike, and 27 when I traded for the boat. I was 23 when I bought my first house.

Funny story with the Kawasaki, I bought it when I was 18, rode it until I was 22, then sold it to my sister's boyfriend to free up money for my Harley. Sold the Harley to free up money to buy the house. Put some work in on my sister's boyfriends Mustang Gt in exchange for my old Kawasaki back.

first car was a $25 1966 Pontiac Bonneville. busted glass no exhaust and about 3 blocks long. Man she was cool

first bike was a 1973 Honda CB500

first truck was a 1978 Dodge power wagon stepside

Mine was a 1988 Ford Tempo purchased in 1993. It was a heap 'o s**t. Nickled and dimed me to death. Black ice and a guardrail finally decommissioned it. Can't say I was sad...

1966 GTO

I was 15 years old and still on a pedal. Just happened to ride over and visit a friend after school on day and there were 2 cars sitting in his front yard. a 66 goat and a Nova. I asked him what was going on as they were sitting out behind thier garage for as long as I can remember. My friend told his brother was waitng on the junker to come and get them. His brother told the junker was giving him $100.00 for both cars and he would sell it to me for $50.00. I gave him all I had in my pocket, $10.00, for a down payment, and would ride home real quick and get my dad and bring him the other $40.00.

Fast forward a few years and learned the hard way that a fast car and beer do not mix. Ended up wrecking her so bad it went to the same junker that was going to get it in the first place.

My first bicycle was a fifties vintage Schwinn.

My first motorcycle was a Honda CB350. That was followed by a CB750.

My first car was a VW bus. I don't even remember what year it was, but I am guessing late fifties. It was a "Haight Ashbury Hippie Wagon" (that's actually where it came from), complete with a paint job done with house paint and those goofy, plastic stick-on flowers, that were popular in the late sixties. I bought it with a blown engine for a hundred bucks, bought a Beetle for 50 bucks, swapped the motors and resold the Beetle for 50 bucks.

My first boat actually belonged to my grandfather, but was mine to use. It was a 12 foot, flat bottomed wooden boat, with a 1958 5.5 hp ERude on it. I spent many summers in that boat, fishing, crabbing and "quahogging" (digging clams), in coastal Rhode Island. If anyone remembers the movie, "Summer of '42," that's pretty much what it was like, minus the "babe" and about 15 years later.

My first car was a 1972 Chevy Chevelle for $280. (bought it in 1987 at 17 years old)

Wish I had a digital pic.

I went to the auto wrecker and found the "SS" and "V8" and hot glued them to the front quarter panel.

I then took my dad's skill saw and put a metal blade on it and chopped off the roof. Used a air chisel to get through the back area where it was too thick for the blade.

Foam and fun fur to cover the jagged edge above the windshield and plywood with vinyl and buttons glued on to mimic a folded down top.

10 feet away it looked pretty good.

When it rained or some guy revved his engine at a red light I just acted too cool to bother racing or putting the top up.

Got three summers out of it before the interior seriously began to degrade...but amazingly it never sagged.

In the end, sold the motor for $200.

I got my first car when I was 15 and got it running two days before I got my DL, it was a 72 Cadilac coupe deville. Man what a tank but it had a 472 and did bigger burnouts than anything else at my high school.

I got my first bike for 50 bucks it was a 71 honda 750 four. Everybody said it was to much bike for a first timer and I would kill myself and I almost did several times. What the heck if your gonna be dumb you gatta be tough.
