Spent some time looking at Ad's, CLIST, etc.

If I was to do another project, it would have to be one of these 3 in priority order:

1. A 22' SuperSport V5

Way down the line..............

2. A 14-15" tin can for easy fishing ONLY

Out of boredom and challenge..................lol leaker

3. The biggest available piece of crap LUND open bow

What say you?

I'd be on the lookout for a 14 foot Western all welded. Lots of fun to dress up and easy to get rid of when you're done. 500.00 will turn one of those things into a 2500.00 sale when you're done.

I'd go smaller. I like the Jets/Jetstars. My current project will be great for Lake Michigan and stuff, but when we camp, I'd like one that my wifes minivan could pull easily to take with.

I'm happy with the Offshore, I just need to find the time and money to fix her. For the second one I wish I had found a 14' Kingfisher. Really for the second one I want a 14c Powercat with twin Johnson 25 horse motors but that not a Starcraft and it's not aluminum.

Re: Your project.....again?

I've got a friend who has a mid 50's Crestliner 14 ft I think cuddy, aluminum. Been just sitting in his cow lot for the last 30 at least years, but he says he doesn't want to sell it. It's his fishing boat, he bought it new. It would take a day or two moving other vintage pieces of fine equipment just to get to it. He's in his early 80's and not the best health, wife died a few years ago, and kids want nothing to do with the place or junk (to them). But who am I kidding, I've got another 5 to 10 years on my holiday jet.

It's cool and practical for big waters. The problem is two 75's don't equal 150, it's more like 110 ponies due to losses. At the cost of fuel for 150 horses. Cool's worth something though. Plus if one craps out ya still got a ride home, that's worth something too. Like you said Kev, love that look.

How bought this, twin screws.

Next boat for me will be a scratch built 23 ft Dory or 22-24 ft offshore power boat.
