A couple of us Cornservatives stirred up some of the others on here. 12 inadvertantly used a racial slurr to restate the Dixie Chicks name n' CJY got real upset and went off the deep end on ol' 12Footer. I tend ta p*** o** some others on here, and one of 'em asked that DC either censure me or pad the sand box or discontinue DC. Got real hot for a day or two. Seems settled down now. JR

I called any and all of those who openly undermine America's role in the war on terror "TRAITORS". This is not the first time I called-out the enemy in this open forum. They are. And remain so, IMO.

Just because it is your opinion doesn't make it fact.
But you cant yet stop me from expressing it.
IMO, I've read enough of your opinions to conclude you are enough of a "lock-stepper" to be nearly as dangerous to this country as the "defunders" :^
Perhaps I am a "lock-stepper" , but how am I "nearly as dangerous to this country as the defunders" ?
I am walking in lock-step with the American side of the war on terror. The defunders are trying to Murtha-fy the military, while claiming to support them IN THE SAME BREATH.
I conclude that it would be better to be a "lock-stepper" than an anti-Amercan defunding, socialist consumer of the gihadist koolade.

Well, guys -- this is the standard liberal M/O,,, Freedom of speech as long as they're the ones doin it!!!
Just like talk radio, they are systematically trying to silence the voice of their opposition. I am 180degrees that.
A bullseye on the ol target of their digital gihad, so to speak.
I get about 2 hours a night on this thing, and they do nothing but all day. Still, it's sort of funny when they get a terd on their tricycle tires over my definition of "traitor" and what I like to call "my sworn enemy".... It gits them foaming at their keyboards, because they LUVV murtha, cindy and jane.
It's prayers answered to see you in the forum, Tom!!
Jump right in, but watch the BP :)

I'm not saying there is any correlation here, but weren't things settling down for a while after the new security plan went into effect? (only 34 bodies in Bagdad over 3 days as opposed to 75 to 100 per day before the crack down)

Now, right after the Senate passed their useless bill, we are right back at 75 to 100.

Like I said, I'm not saying there is a correlation here, but when asked if that bill would give aid and comfort to the enemy, Lt. Gen. David H. Petraeus said yes..... seems to me he was right. :|

They like "body counts", and they used them to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in Vietnam and Korea quite effectively, Crunch.
But a suprising statistic I heard on Rush Limbaugh this afternoon:
The "body count" (number of deaths amoung the US military) were HIGHER in the 80's - 90's durring peacetime, than at any year since the war started!!
Here it is in black-n-white (and yella):
PDF file (click here) From the Department of Defense that Rush posted on his website.
This will NOT be seen o the 6:30 news -- Garaunteed!!

I'll try to pull-up the PDF file (a "dot-GOV" link he posted on his website) as soon as it stops being flooded -- and put it here.

The only time facts matter to the left is when the facts support them, but most of the time it about "feelings" and "feel good", not the truth.

Several times 12 you've made comments that you back this administration unconditionally. Nothing you post suggests otherwise.
That type of mentality immediately removes sensible or objective reasoning. Certainly it promotes a high degree of denial and makes transparent your own high "kool-aid" consumption rate.

At this moment the "American side" of the war on terror is exactly the way it's being done. Sorry for you and me 12 but it includes Murtha and the Dem's in a big way now. Without a doubt it's not the best way it should be done but you can be dang sure it's being done plenty "American".
You find it very easy to blame Murtha and the Dem's while failing to recognise any failures your beloved administration was responsible for to cause Murtha being remotely relevant.

Indeed your rhetoric suggests you back Rush the same way.
Certainly it's a lot easier to fall into "lock-step" into a position than to take that position while being open and honest.

I don't believe being a "dittohead" in every sense of the word is a good place to be when situations require more than regurgitated rhetoric.

At the very least "lock-stepping" makes you a extemely poor judge on who may be traitor and who isn't.

Skinny, show us a better way..... don't just dis, but lay out a better plan TO WIN!!!....

Go ahead, quote any source you want, but just show a win mentality, not a cut and run.

It's easy to dis what we are doing as it's a hard job we are doing.... many loses, not much to show.

Just show a plan that WINS this war other than what The President is doing.... all of us will be more than grateful.

I've been very consistant throughout the years here.
The invasion (Shock and Awe) was magnificent! However, almost at the time when "Mission Accomplished" was proclaimed, or more accurate, after the Falusia offensive was over the administration squandered victory.
Two, three years ago when our Marines had Al Sadir surrounded (twice), then were ordered to retreat (twice), I immediately posted a protest here.

Crunch there is no way I support "cut and run".
However, I can't support nation building before all battles have been won.
The "surge" in troops should have been two years ago when there wasn't a Dem congress to play Peewee Herman politics with our military.

The plan to win is to lock and load but as you and I are witnessing is an administration that shot it's load long before the *****s panties were off..........laying there begging her for another chance or refund.

The plan to win is to fight to the end. We haven't fought to win since Falusia, can't blame the Dem's for that.
It's been said that the Dem's don't have a plan. I agree, and most do including the Dem's.
And since they won elections without a plan you can't give them credit for having one.
So how is it no plan beats out the Presidents plan?
The answer was obvious to me long before the elections.
"Staying the course" was evidence of incompetence.

As you notice I give credit where it's due. And since I voted for Bush twice I certainly have a bone in this.
Bush is the President, he has obligations and responsibilitys and had a packed legislative branch in his favor.
I'll not blame the Dem's for one ounce of this.

And what does "finishing" mean? Gettong OBL? Getting one man will not stop alQuida. Yeah it would be symbolic, but wouldn't change much. Is there not a "stable" governmnet there (stable may not be the absolulte correct word)? What more do you want done in Afganastan? NATO is there and so are we. Do you think that we are not trying to get OBL? If he is in Pakistan, what would you have President Bush do? We can't go in there.
So what is your version of "finished"?

Right off the bat we started handing out huge sums of money to have many unsavory charactures fight the battle we had a moral responsibility to fight ourselves.
The primary mission that soon after 9/11 was to kill or capture OBL. The mission changed in several ways after we diverted men and machines away from Afganistan.
The President admitted finding OBL was no longer the mission.

The mission and priority changed so much though that the Taliban/ Alqieda have been allowed to regroup and go on the offensive.
Just last week the NATO commander said more troops in Afganistan were going to be needed.

Now that is quite an accomplishment considering they are so ragtag and were pretty well soundly thrashed.
It also says a great deal about the way we have waged war on the Afgan front also.

Oh, and yes, to me (and most Americans)it was very, very important to kill or capture OBL sometime in the last 6 years.

Not one?... not even a bit?

You don't see the obstruction from the Dems being any part of the problem?... tell me what they have done in the last 4 to 6 years to illiterate the point they are trying to make today. Where were they when the Gov was locked in by the Republicans..... ever hear a squeak from them?... or are they only getting vocal now that they think they have a MAJORITY?

These are the most changeable, despicable, foolhardy, selfish, Traitorous to the United States of America, Politicians this Country has ever, in it’s checkered past, been inflicted with.

Re: Did I break the rules by calling defunders

The President had tremendous support from both partys and traditional allies after 9/11. It was only after his shift to Iraq that support started to crumble. And then it was mostly from some of the traditional allies (France/Germany). Bipartisan support crumbled when we came up short on WMD's.
American public support crumbled when "staying the course" meant nothing.

I'll not blame the Dem's for one ounce of this.

Not one?... not even a bit?

Now understand I don't hold this administration fault conserning WMD's.
And I understand the strategy behing Shock and Awe.

This administration doesn't do war well.
And it doesn't do conservative well.
And it doesn't do politics well.
Can't blame the Dem's for taking advantage of the situation.

Yes Crunch the Dem's will finish destroying this country.
And I really dislike the current administration for setting them up to do it.

I'll blame the Dem's for everything you mentioned above and more.
But the failures of this administration has to rest with this administration.

All this over MY opinion? Got a lotta "I"s commin at ya then.
First of all, I do NOT "back the admin unconditionally".
Their border policy bites.
Their "new tone" cost us lock-steppers the last election.
They also don't "circle the wagons" around those who get in the sites of the castrati or the drive by "investigators"... Instead, they have a propensity to distance themselves fgrom the victum, and throw them under the bus. Quite despicable.
Yet, what you see as "backing the admin unconditionally", is my revulsion to enemy propaganda, because you might not see the same enemy I do. You might think they are holed-up in some Afghani cave, while I see a more GLOBAL threat -- and the threat stateside is no less serious. The only thing preventing more in-country attacks, is the rally-effect it would have on national anti-terrorist resolve.
.
I can only stand behind policies I trust. My personal resolve changed September 11,2001, and hasn't wavered since.
The problem you obviouslly see as fanaticsm on my part surely is, (in a way), just that. I demand victory, and see anything less as capitulation. I still want "payback" for cryin out loud! A definate knuckle-dragger in that regard, and I make no appologies for it!

I believe ,(in spite of the media or the castrati's attempts to brainwash me otherwise), that had it not been for their continued propagnda efforts, that the Iraqis would be on their own today.
But then, there's murtha and his media monkeys who deluge us with daily body-counts, just as the Jane/Cronkite duet did in the 70's. .. And for a large part, with the same result.

In an article by ALICIA COLON in the New York Sun,
February 20, 2007;
The total military dead in the Iraq war between 2003 and this month stands at about 3,133. This is tragic, as are all deaths due to war, and we are facing a cowardly enemy unlike any other in our past that hides behind innocent citizens. Each death is blazoned in the headlines of newspapers and Internet sites. What is never compared is the number of military deaths during the Clinton administration: 1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That's 4,417 deaths in peacetime but, of course, who's counting?

Indeed, who IS counting, Skinny?
Call me a "lock-stepper", a "jackass", or whatever you like.. I will often except the label if it fits. Perhaps, from the outside looking-in, I am a "lock-stepper". What would then be the alternative to that? Silence?
Yet actually, I see myself as a patriot. Perhaps, a RABBID patriot, but one who calls-out those damaging American resolve wherever I see it taking place. Murtha may have been elected by a majority. All that tells me is that something changed since 9/11/01 -- I can assure you, IT WAS NOT ME, this time!
My castrated Country? Maybee. But not me.
