    What is this connector/bracket thing?

A simple gps or fishfinder comes to mind, based on the small number of connections.

200 HP Evinrude/Johnson Carb Kit and Rebuild

Gee, I think what the mechanic told you is utter crap. You should never need to drain the carbs. The motor should start in 10 sec. I don't even drain the carbs over winter, and never have any issues with them.

200 HP Evinrude/Johnson Carb Kit and Rebuild

1/2 of the idle pocket covers on the throttle bodies are easy to get to as they are on the outside. The other throttle bodies have the pockets on the inside and must be removed to get to 'em. Most carb kits will come with the two cover gaskets per throttle body, plus the gaskets and seals for...

    Whats this part called? TIA

Looks to be two trim solenoids.

    Inconsistent performance 84' blackmax 150

Most any water separator for a boat will work. Most are 20GPH, which is a lot more than you need. Water is separated by gravity, and the gasoline above it is filtered, much more than the dinky screens or inline filter that came with the motor.

200 HP Evinrude/Johnson Carb Kit and Rebuild

Check the carb bowls for warpage. Those plastic ones often warp and then leak. Some of those carbs have the idle mixture needle in the throttle bodies. They often have covers over them. These covers can be removed and the idle needle and passages cleaned, without removal of the needle. Some...

    Johnson water pump possible issue

Sorry, I obviously did not read your post properly. I am not sure what to suggest. You might check the passage under the waterpump base for blockage. Also, my '98 Johnny has a strainer that was nearly clogged, however, it only ran to the telltale/flush port. After 27 years I cleaned it...

    Mercury 175 HP V-6, 2.5 liter, Serial # 0G042584

Ron, I have a '93 Merc 135HPV6. Here are two pictures, if it helps.

    Johnson water pump possible issue

Gee, when was the waterpump last rebuilt? Ditto on the thermostat. Just so you know, when trimming motor, most props will slip before cooling water to the motor is interrupted.

    Mercury 175 HP V-6, 2.5 liter, Serial # 0G042584

Gee, Crowley shows it as a 1994 Merc 175HPV6, in the serial number look up. However, it shows it as a 1992 135HPV6 when the diagrams come up. A possible bug in the SW? https://www.crowleymarine.com/mariner/oem-parts/outboard/1992/7135412ad Maybe ebay or someone has one for you. I would...

Spark plugs for a Merc outboard

I found some BUHW spark plugs at some local (NJ) advance auto stores for $5 ea. Not all stores have them so they look like leftover stock. You could investigate that route. The BUHW-2 are nearly impossible to find for any low price.

    88150a7 Quicksilver Throttle Issue

That looks like a universal remote control. You might make sure as Alldodge says, that the cables are correctly attached. Perhaps the OEM has a data sheet on it.

Spark plugs for a Merc outboard

AC also made a line of spark plugs equivalent to L78V. My '76 Merc 1500 came with those from the factory. V440 something was the number on that one. Not sure that helps. What does Merc recommend? You can still get BUHW-2, but they are pricy

Spark plugs for a Merc outboard

Gee, Champion spark plugs were used for decades in merc OBs. If memory serves, the BUHW-2 was equivalent to Champ L-78V, which was used in my '73 Merc 850. The 70's and early 80's Il6 motors usually used Champ L-76V.

    What year is my mariner

You can get the part numbers for the carb kits from a place like crowleymarine or marineengine. You can then source them from most anywhere. ebasicpower is another place for carb kits. It is likely Sierra or GLM make aftermarket carb kits. These are usually just fine to use.

    Product suggestions for deep scratches

Gee, sand it down around the scratches until bare metal and feathered edges. Use some aluminum self etch primer and then spray with gloss black.

    What year is my mariner

You might post the serial number and move this to the Mercury OB forum.

115hp 2 stroke and quick connects.

Most 115HP motors like yours will be ok with 5/16 id fuel line. Larger HP motors including Merc V6 motors need 3/8" or larger. I understand what you are trying to accomplish, but sometimes quick connects can starve to engine of fuel. I do not think it is an issue with the IL6, but watch for...

    Check your Prop Folks!!

Do you think that could have been caused by not tightening the prop nut enough? I would think that if the prop hub had some room to move, it might crack like that.

Switching from trailering to storing in a saltwater slip... what is a "must do" to protect bravo3?

The outdrive will need antifouling protection. I would recommend you brush on a coat of Trilux. I have found the spray-on A-F paint to have lousy coverage.
