    I agree that the problem seems to be your motor. A stalling motor won't get you on plane whether the trim tabs are working or not!

    Trim cylinder rebuild - stripped threads on fluid line connection

    That looks fixable for sure, seems only the outer edge is a little out of shape. I'd try your idea first and try to re straighten up the starting edge. deeper in the threads look good.

    Is it possible that the line is connected backward? I think those primer bulbs are only flow one way.

    Welcome! Are you sure the engine is not sucking air into the lines from a improper or loose connection? Is it a built in or portable tank?

    Yep, those little wire strands are pretty hard on the hands! My strap has been used in salt water for about 5 years now and still as good as new.

    When you say the water goes out the bilge pump, do you mean with the pump running? The hose that runs to the front of the boat that water comes in from, do you know where that goes? Is there some kind of opening in your hull below the water line for live well or anything else? Maybe pictures...
