    Swell, waves, and period

Swell can and do exist in bays depending on the local topography and swell direction. If they are coming straight in from the mouth of the bay. Can even be amplified somewhat as the bay narrows in and gets shallower.

    Swell, waves, and period

How big is the boat you will be using? The size of the boat makes a big difference as to what wave height is safe. As a rule I find swell is like you said, slow rolling up and down and not too much to worry about on its own if you watch your speed. You can have a big swell on a perfectly calm...

    Christmas lights!

Yeah i agree they don't look the best against a house but they do make a nice display if shone against the branches of a large leafless tree as the moving lasers create a sparkling effect as they randomly hit branches. I was more thinking about a laser projector that would shine a stationary...

I got a calf moose after the previous moose my brother got that I talked about earlier this year. I have most of a quarter frozen awaiting a part for my sausage maker then I'll make sausage out of that. I have a bag of beef fat trimmings from the butcher to add because as stated before, you need...

    Christmas lights!

Its that time of year again and i have to put up lights outdoors. Not my favorite chore! You would think someone would have come up with some kind of laser lights that reflect off eaves trough and look like lights without me on a ladder!

    cooking

Fried doesn't sound all that good to me, although i've never had it. Around here turkey is baked in the oven and stuffed with "dressing" made with bread crumbs, onion, butter(or more likely margarine) and savory and salt to taste. Savory and turkey go hand in hand around here, it just ain't...

Sea Ray 180 sig series termite/water in ski locker rot

Does the engine run good? That boat needs to be gutted completely including transom as mentioned above. Make sure you are prepared for the cost and work involved before you get too attached for sentimental reasons and find yourself in over your head.....

If it was your fathers and he's no longer here then I understand the attachment, but don't let that get you in over your head. Think it through. Also Yamaha 4 strokes are VERY VERY VERY nice :) :):)

    Transom

I thought the idea of a poured in transom was you didn't need to take the inside skin off? How did you keep the liquid in place, build a temperary wall inside? You could just use a manufacture core material and fiberglass it in the usual way.

    1977 Glastron 175hp 175hpv “Free Boat” project

I'm no expert but in all likelihood the boat needs to be entirely gutted and rebuilt. Thats a lot of time and money. If the engine is that old too then it's also suspect in my opinion. Unless your a real handyman up for a challenge and have thousands of dollars to spend (and a very patient wife)...
