Wow, thats an old one, I didn't even know they made boats back then! lol. The trailer looks original too! I'd like to see her when its done, sorry I don't have anything more helpful to say other then "good luck"
With all this talk of tires. i had to go out and look to see what was on my truck. They are Bridgestone Dueler. Not sure if thats considered a good tire or not. I've got no complaints so far but I'm not a tire person.
If it fell off a trailer then i would think that it was being used and probably the engine and outdrive are good. Engine looks nice and clean and sounds good. Make sure the bellows didn't get torn during accident and that the seal between the outdrive and transom is still good before putting her...
The yamaha f90 efi i bought this spring had a problem with idling speed before i bought it. It would start in high idle but wouldn't slow down in a few seconds as expected. The shop I bought it from had to replace some electronic idle sensor part and then it idled fine.
I used a stainless steel household shower drain in mine. Works great and didn't rust even on salt water. Another option I used to use was to just wrap the bilge pump itself with screen from a window but you would still need to clean out the bilge, so go with the floor drain.
So how did it work out? I installed one this summer on a stripped oil drain plug on my Quad this summer. Stupidly, I used a cordless impact gun on the bolt after the helicoil and stripped the helicoil! Be careful not to overtighten when working with aluminum! I don't blame you for asking...
My father had a snowblower like that and I found it had a tendency to want to ride up over deeper heavy snow rather then dig in. Hope you have better luck (and less snow!), for 100 bucks you can't really go wrong.
Head gear not much too look at, it was probably only about 2 years old, however that makes it all the better for eating. I'll let you know as I have the tenderloin frying with onions as I type.
My brother got a small bull moose yesterday, I still haven't seen one. We split the meat so at least I'll get something. The quarters are hung in my garage so the boat is out in the rain and not happy!
