    Correct wiring for fuel pump?

You are correct, needs the wire off the starter as a priming circuit and the oil pressure switch as a safety. You surely don't want fuel in the bilge when the motor is not running.

1988 searay 4.3l merc missing bolts on powersteering pump bracket?

The bracket holding the pump is either stamped or cast. You can then order any replacement hardware based on motor serial number.

    Water getting in.........

I hear ya! Same kind of problem here, only different project. I'm building a mobile welding truck. Taking my old Chevy flatbed truck and redoing it. Took the bed off and stripped the paint and started building tank racks and in-bed water tank with wash down pump, etc, preparatory to painting the...

How to align a gimbal bearing, and why it needs to be done. (Inc video)

Well, it actually shouldn't matter, the angle of the transom, and you are mostly correct that once everything is aligned, the gimbal bearing is straight, barring manufacturing irregularities, damage or rot. If the transom angle is steeper, the front of the motor ends up being higher. The angle...

Fuel pump for 1993 4.3 v6 engine with 4BBL carburator

I did the same thing first time around with the Q-Jet carb. I own the double flare tool and benders. When I switched to an Edelbrock (because the Q-jet sat on a adapter plate and didn't fit under my dog house) I bought the stainless OEM line. Either way is perfect. Make sure you have a angle in...

Fuel pump for 1993 4.3 v6 engine with 4BBL carburator

I used the Airtex E11003 as the OEM part when I went through the same thing. Nice part is, you can go in and use the mounting and fuel line parts direct off Mercruiser parts lists to install it. It turned out great that way and the stainless steel line is heavier and better fitted than what I...

alpha one out drive missing seal

Not quite sure what you are describing, but there is a 'quad' o-ring between the case halves. If it is missing you will lose oil and introduce water rapidly. (I see I duplicated Bt Doc)

electric fuel pump for 1993 Mercruiser 4.3 v6

If you add a relay you take the load of the pump off the oil pressure switch. Wires in like this.

suggestions for 4.3 flush before winter storage

iBoats has a descaling wash from Starbrite. https://www.iboats.com/shop/starbrit...tar-brite.html I found a hose attachment that I used for Salt Away after every trip into the brine (I have an aluminum intake on a freshwater boat). StarBrite makes one as well, although I couldn't find either on...

    Bellows and housing install

I've always figured out how to set up the clamp so I can get a flex shaft on my 1/4 inch drive socket set to it.

    Bellows and housing install

I would suggest you follow the Mercruiser Service Manual exactly. If you don't have it, here are the relevant pages reproduced.

I need a refurbished block for my 2000 Mercruiser...my current block is an '87???

Here ya go. The big difference that I have seen is the diameter is smaller on the ones that fit the plastic timing cover used with the internal balance shaft. If you have the one made for a balance shaft motor it doesn't come all the way up to the timing mark tab. I don't know if the seal...

    engine and out drive installation...

Ah, that serial number comes up for a Bravo 3 drive, not an engine. Here's a larger screenshot of the parts page you showed. No coil washer:

    Saltwater vs Freshwater XI5 Motorguide

Contemplating sticking an XI5 bow mount 24 volt trolling motor on my fishing barge. Already have a Lowrance Elite 9 Ti with a total scan transducer. I look forward to networking them together and using the handheld remote for the motor while trolling for salmon. I hadn't considered the Saltwater...
