Electric boat maker shutters plant in WV

Absolutely none when they were getting started ,like the first 60-70 years . Gas stations were built privately, gas tax was used for road construction . When you bought a car ,the government didn't step in and give you a 7-10k rebate like they do with electric cars ,who are basically using the...

Electric boat maker shutters plant in WV

Seeing that they are never more than a few feet from land if they lose there charge ,no big deal . Put them in open waters , big seas , and see how that goes . Let private companies with NO subsidies from us ,the taxpayers, develop all the technology required for electric transportation and...

    Baffled

Sitting exactly where it was the week before as I have stops for the trailer on my driveway that were not moved . Even if it was off a bit , the readings would be fairly close , not a " mile " apart , which is a one quart with the capacity at 6 .

    Baffled

Have a 2006 " 4 stroke 90hp " Johnson " ( made by Suzuki ) , just bought it . Check the oil after it sat for a week . Read the stick and it shows a little over a quart too much . Drain the quart ,check the stick, spot on . Take the maiden voyage yesterday, get back home , check the level a day...

Electric boat maker shutters plant in WV

Was talking to a VW mechanic that just got back from electric vehicle training . When working on them they dress in hazmat type suits and can't wear anything ,including underwear with elastic in them . If they get zapped the elastic on them will burn the heck out of them . Fire ? forget about...

    1989 Mastercraft prostar 190

Unless you're a tournament skier , I would be looking for a 19-21 ' open bow type boat . Tubing, indicates you have younger riders , as in kids . They will take up room on the boat , Ski boats usually have closed bows , less sitting room , and straight inboards , more draft and a straight up...

    Winterization of my Commodore 272

They make a tool called a Power Probe , that when hooked to.a battery you can touch the pointer on it to a positive terminal/wire and then depress the switch which will send power to that item . It will also put a good ground to that item if you depress the toggle the opposite way . Bad ground...

    Shower drain pump, no power

Looks like you're going to have to trace it . Usually, if installed by mfg , they color code the wiring . So if it's yellow with green stripe ,that wire will continue on to the switch . Have you put power to the pump to verify that the pump and float switch are working ? If the float is in the...

    opinions..pictures

If your looking at a boat to buy , no one can tell you the condition of your outdrive or engines by looking at pictures , unless it has a cracked block with a rod sticking through it . Or the outdrive is smashed and hanging on by a trim cylinder.

    Winterization of my Commodore 272

Really need a Amp meter to check your battery . Or a battery load tester , made for that , to give you a accurate assessment. You could take 8 D batteries at 1.5 volts per battery , attach them together and start your motor , if that's the voltage you needed . Unfortunately you need amps to...

    Lake Ontario

99% of all Boston Whalers will or do have water in the " closed " cell foam that they use . Not really a issue with them but they all have water in them . I've seen them still in use with literally portions of the sides missing , exposed foam and looking like they should of been in the dumpster...

    mercruiser lower unit install

Or your shift channel on the upper housing is not lining up with the male shifter on the outdrive itself . They should both be pointing straight ahead . Pretty sure if your splines are not lined up ,the unit won't go in period , not get within a half inch and just stop , doesn't make sense .

Convert 14ft aluminum closed bow to open

The closed bow may have something to do with the hulls integrity. I can't tell if it has bench seats or not . I do not see any rivets in the hull where the " bench seats " would attach to the sides of the hull . If they are ,then they would help keep the hull from twisting ,just like the closed...

    A/c not pumping water

I would remove the hose that goes from the strainer to the AC pump off ,at the pump . Open the valve and make sure water is flowing out . If so ,hook it back up and try it . That's the way I've primed it when having a issue with water not flowing at the beginning of the year . My pump is below...

Where to Find Kohler 5E Generator Motor Mount / Fuel Pump bracket

I would mount it somewhere else . All you have are two wires and a fuel line , not hard to extend any of those items to a new mounting location.
