    New boater here, 1976 beachcraft

All that skeleton support is going to be wood, and in all probability will be rotten. Cut one the fiberglass and remove the router wood and replace with solid wood and reglass them into place.. Fiberglass itself is not strong enough to support the hull, good solid wood is required. Nice...

Baltimore bridge hit by ship, collapsed

All about saving fuel, whether ship or airplane. Those big container ships use up 20,000 gallons of fuel for a one way trip, super ships can use twice that much. Saving 10% is a lot of fuel !

Baltimore bridge hit by ship, collapsed

Latest info states ship was under command of port captain, loss of power, mayday sent, anchor dropped so must have been loss of control. Prayers for those involved. That is the nature of suspension bridges, when a main support is severely damaged, everything fails. Not a pleasant thought but...

2.5HP Mercury/Tohatsu/Nissan Outboard No Longer Starting

Needle position will have very little to do with starting...float setting could ...if float is off, flooding or lean could occur. Did you ever get a compression reading ? Low comp can cause hard starting. Did you ever get a spark gap gage ? Weak spark can cause hard starting. Now matter...

I need help/advice to fix my 14.6 ft Alumicraft v-bottom boat from scratches/gouges and cracking sealer in the front bottom.. Thanks!

I feel your pain on the failed keel roller damage. Mine split as well and the gouges look similar. I had no leaks so I just painted over the scratches and cussed at it a lot !! Did replace with one of the yellow poly rollers, no more rubber rollers on my trailers !!

prop recommendations for Trophy walk around 25 foot

No matter what, we need to know what your current engine is turning at wot with your current prop, then compare that to the max operating rpm recommended by the engine mfgr. Anything else is a guess !!
