    Gun Safe

I get better insurance rates having a good gun safe, not only for guns but keeping valuables in general. Bolt it down or bolt thru the back so it can't be tipped.

    Gun Safe

Hard to beat the TSC prices for the quality...my only recommendation is to stay away from the electronic push button locks. I highly recommend the dial type lock only. A very good friend is a locksmith and stated, "give me a nine volt battery and two pieces of wire and I can open an electric...

    J200 - Damaged Crankshaft/Flywheel Nut Threads

Sounds like to much work, once you get the correct thread size buy a threading die, not very expensive and just chase the existing threads. A thread pitch gage and a threading die together will give you change from a 20 dollar bill.

    Fuel question(s)

I didn't read that in his posting. I took his comments as the whole corn fuel being bad idea was propaganda...sure he will chime in if were are wrong..

    Merc 9.9

Should be a pickup screen on each side of the lower unit, muffs clamp around the lower leg and pushes c water into those screened openings. I only found videos for news models.

Considering 1992 Bayliner 3058 Command Bridge - what to look out for?

I would spend the money on a good marine surveyor, way to many things to hide without one !!

    Merc 9.9

To the best of my knowledge they just use muffs, no screw in needed.

    J200 - Damaged Crankshaft/Flywheel Nut Threads

Looks like someone pounded on the end...any machine shop should have a thread pitch gage to measure it for you. Actually they are not expensive, you might buy your own to have one on hand.

    Hybrid Vehicles

It is all politics being pushed by gov't to create more jobs and spend more money. Round here permits for windmills are very expensive, while permits for solar are much cheaper even though they take up far more land space. It just shows how much the local gov't is supporting the three very...

    Fuel question(s)

Also, if you have an older motor, do as recommended and replace all fuel lines/ hoses with ethanol rated lines. When E fuels were first introduced it was highly recommended to replace existing hoses to alcohol rated hoses and add extra fuel filters to catch or trap all the crud that the alcohol...

Just buying a new carb may not be the answer, it still needs setup for your motor !! Carbs are designed to fit on a number of different engines so each one needs adjusted for your particular motor. Get a factory rebuild kit for your carb based on serial number. All the necessary adjustment...

    Third battery

Typically, there is one battery for engine starting ( one for each engine if duals) then a house battery to run onboard electric use. Many folks use two deep cycle house batteries for over nite or large electrical draws like lights and radios and refridgerators. Single or dual engines ??

    Hybrid Vehicles

Yes, hybrids are far better, however....the batteries are still very environment unfriendly to produce ! Lithium is very costly to mine and it takes large fuel guzzling heavy machinery to get it and even more fossil fuels to process it.

Test spark gap with a gage, UT needs to jump a 1/4" gap at least. Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. There are a number of very tiny little passages going thru a carb and a tiny little spec of dirt can cause issues. When a carb is cleaned, A factory rebuild kit should be used so new gaskets...

The one in the bottom, does it have a clam shell like cover on it on the outside of the hull ?? If so...these are designed to suck water out while underway when plug is pulled. If no clamshell covering on the bottom..then I don't know.
