    is it running on both cylinders @ higher RPM when it bogs . inline spark tester in place to check spark and a look down the carbs will determine if fuel is sucking through.

    i bought a cdi electrics cdi and i had to swap the wires in the plug once .pretty sure from memory that did as you describe. be sure the part number matches on the new cdi ,they all look the same but a programmed differently .

    inboards have a lot of weight in the rear by nature, best is to move as much stuff forward as possible.. as posted ,check for water in the flotation. ? does the boat plane out ok. ? does it feel heavy to drive .

    i read on another forum that you only pay tax on the hull ,and that the motor and trailer are a separate entity. how true is this ? seems to me if this is true , claiming the price of the hull alone would reduce the tax a fair amount. example a $5000 kit (trailer boat fittings and motor)...

    yea i like to keep an good eye on things when lifting with makeshift devices . some of the assembly's i have seen people use to lift boat motors scare the hell out of me , but hey if it works and is safe to the operator go for it..

    ha ha no you wouldn't :), it looks a bit unsafe , however it has turn out to be quite safe and i always have a person to be ready incase more counter weight is required , NOTE :we do move the boat and trailer rather than the crane as it does get a bit wobbly if i try to move the crane around...

    guessing you have a miss fire , possibly a lead , plug or dizzy cap, starters can struggle when trying to crank when a cylinder is not firing.

    i use a floor crane with extended / modified boom , for counterbalance i just rig up some old V8 engines ,makeshift set up but works well and safe.
