    When in doubt ?? Throw it out. Replace with wood. Yes I do use a steam box to bend stringers into shape. Very thick stringers are a couple of prebents that are epoxied together with glass cloth between them.

    The boat hull HAS A TUNNEL bottom in front of the prop. I enlarged that picture. Boat is for a 400 pound guy ?

    Sadly Somebody butchered the bottom of the hull VERY BADLY. Someone needs to remove the butchery blobs and return the hull to a normal shape. You are right not to run faster.

    You could. Just cut the cable where the new ends would be right where the switch connections are. Squeeze on 2 ringed connectors to be bolted to the back of the big switch. Done

    That is visually looking like a simple thing to correct. A simple MAIN Battery switch with just ...ON... OFF... Would stop you from having to disconnect 1 battery post cable each time. What is the hp of the main motor ? I will do the web looking for a simple HEAVY DUTY on / off main switch...
