Need Help Please 85hp Force Tilt Motor collapses under load

Bottom of both sides of the transom clamp, there's holes that you can put a 1/2"X12-14"bolt that the motor can rest on as you go.

Help motor only running on primer!!

Your primer might be bad? Once it feeds then it should just stand by as the pump feeds the carb??

120HP Force being smothered on exhaust fumes at idle

#17 probably wasn't the culprit?? Right where #1 is on the picture, that's where a gasket goes and it can cause your problem. Look for the powerhead parts breakdown.

Need some way of identifying model # for a 1990 Force 90HP

Bluefin is/was a Spectrum product(I think) send the hull ID# to them and they can give you all the info for the motor that was sent out with the boat. Under the bottom carb on the intake is a foundry stamp. Also under the packs/coils on the block is another foundry stamp. Won't give the...

    Starter and choke issue

Choke's grounded through the bracket. Volt meter: unhook green choke wire from choke body, hook test lead to the green choke wire. Hit the choke/key, what's the voltage? Should be battery voltage, then when hooked back up, hit key again and read voltage. Post the results?? Not very often(1 in...

    Blue/green substance leaking from L/U

The allen head set screw is the drain plug. Sometimes they get stuck, I use a propane torch for a few seconds to help loosen it. You can't hurt it with the propane torch, acetylene is another thing.

Need Help Please 85hp Force Tilt Motor collapses under load

Someone's messed with your T@T and removed the trim parts. The pic shows a trim actuator for a 50hp. the one for your motor is bigger. The two pieces together work in conjunction with each other. The other pic shows the 2 pieces together(50hp.)

    Omc 5.7 ignition timing

The car carb is probably sucking air someplace. Start it and spray starting fluid around the base. If the spray makes it run different? then it's sucking air.

Hints for setting idle mix on 1989 Force 85hp

These motors aren't made for slow operation and the plugs will foul after time. If you set them right for low speed they don't run great at high speed and vice-versa.

    Blue/green substance leaking from L/U

That hole is a drain that allows the unburned gas/oil to find a way out. Leaving the motor tilted up causes the carbs to drain and the fuel leaks down and out the holes, usually a normal situation. However: I'd check the gear oil and check for water intrusion?? The slotted screw on the nosecone...

    Starter and choke issue

You said NEW STARTER If the rest checks out? then the starter could be bad. The Chinese are flooding the market with realllllly crappy products. Starters, T@T pumps etc. All are crap. Take the old apart and clean the contacts and see if that helps. It's spinning but not enough to move the...

How long have you owned a Chrysler Outboard and what has been your experience

Neither: I'd get seasick watching the gauges :) Install a pee tube and mount it where you can readily see it. I installed car horns in place of the buzzer I could barely hear. Now if there was a light that flashed when it got hot??? I might add that too the horns.
